Mac Decompression software.....

ok just found out my mac automatically unzips files. When i download the league file its a .rar file but i cant get it to open once i go into OOTP, I am just trying to load a saved game and then find the .rar file is this the correct way to do it?

Im new to online leagues so sorry if this is easy.

I'm not a mac user, but I have to imagine there must be some way you can disable it from automatically unzipping if that's what you want to do. I'm guessing you're wanting to say download to your desktop, move the file, then extract. That's similar to what I do on my PC.

Is there some reason why you don't want to update your files only via the game?

Isn't stuffit the decompressing software for macs? Sounds familiar at least.

1. I am no expert, but I do have a mac mini.

Okay, what I do is let it unzip to the default folder location, then I move it to the correct location after it unzips instead of trying to get it to self-install correctly. Then I open OOTP to make sure it is there.... ie move the file around in mac land, not OOTP.
Ask your commish for the correct folder/path for the uncompressed file, which should be the same on everyone's game.

2. I think. see no.1.

I tried to join my first on-line league with my iMac and drag and drop finally worked. It took me three tries to get it right.
