Hilarious Injury

During the off season, it was reported that a catcher was "scratched" by a cat and would miss 5-6 months. Have fun imagining what "actually" happen...

"It was reported today that Joe Jones a catcher for the Bayport Hounds was mauled today at the local SPCA facility when an enraged tabby escaped from his cage and viciously attacked Jones seemingly without provocation...the incident is under investigation."

Did his contract have a "no lion-taming" clause? I heard he was moonlighting with the circus.

If memory serves, back when the game first came out with off-field injuries, Markus had one where a guy would miss time from slipping on puppy pee. I don't even want to know how he happened to come up with that one (and you'll notice that it's not in the current file).

Heh that's a good one. I just saw this injury in my current league:
"Gene Lambert will be forced to take some time off. He was injured in an off-the-field incident yesterday. The Baltimore closer suffered a fractured finger. It occurred when he reacted violently after he got tired of answering the same questions from multiple reporters. Team doctors think his recovery will take about 7 weeks."

Wow injuring your middle finger flipping off reporters...

My favorite was his wife hit him with a frying pan.

But, he'd shoot it with a bow and arrow, so that it would be sporting.

Actually, my Mother was in the hospital last month and her "neighbor" was in because she was attacked by her daughter's cat and it did severe damage to her hand/arm. So, for all those naysayers that say OOTP isn't realistic, take that!

The funniest but true injury in my mind is John Smoltz ironing his shirt while it was still on him and burning him self.

I had a good one also in a previous version of the game..

Roy Halliday will miss 2 weeks due to being bitten by a shark. My imagination ran wild with that one..
