Suggestions for team names

Alright so I'm starting my solo league with the help of everyone here on the boards.....

I'm going to start an 8 team league with one division and use dynamically evolving league.....

Anyhow, I am looking for some nickname suggestions for the following cities...I have some inputted just not super happy with them

Boston
New York
Brooklyn
Washington D.C.
Detroit
Philadelphia
Indianapolis
Chicago

Incidentally, I've found that the nicknames.txt file located in the database folder is a pretty good source for nickname ideas. Plus, they're alphabetical, so if you want to use alliterations, it's pretty easy to find good combinations.

Boston Beaneaters (the nickname of the Braves in the 1890s)
New York Mutual (a team from the early days of baseball)
Brooklyn Excelsiors (ditto)
Washington D.C. Olympians (ditto-itto)
Detroit Wolverines
Philadelphia Athletic Club
Indianapolis Hoosiers
Chicago Colts

Landmarks and/or history...

Boston Pilgrims (also a former name for the Red Sox)
New York Empire States (or Empires)
Brooklyn Men In Tights (possibly owned by Brooklynite Mel Brooks?)

The Philadelphia Freedom, Detroit Gears, and New York Empires are all names of teams in Total Pro Basketball.
