OOTP 11 to be Released April 14th

OOTP 11 will be released on April 14th, April 12th for preorder customers!

There will be a RTR article and newsletter about this tomorrow, so sit tight for more info!

Important Change in Preorder Promotion!
We've had a slight change in plans regarding our preorder promotion. We've gotten a lot of feedback from customers who want to support small software development by paying the full price for the game, but who also want to be able to download the game early. (Thanks, guys!) As a result, April 7th will now be the last day of the $10 preorder discount! You can still preorder at the retail price of $39.99 between April 8th and April 11th and thereby qualify to receive the game two days early.

Very excited! I haven't played OOTP in a long while... cannot remember the last one I played actually, but having recently gotten into FM 2010, I longed for a baseball game again since I'm not a fan of soccer.

Typically my console games have done me, MLB The Show, but the older I get, the more wise I get and nothing comes close to providing me with the dorky fun I get from OOTP.

This year it should have been ready by opening day. Last year's late release really spoiled my attitude on ootp 10.

There are certain perks to it being released a little after opening day.

1) Included Major League Rosters will be far more up to date than other baseball games (and dont give me any BS about their updates as they are usually even more flawed)

2) More time to beta test and squash bugs. I feel this release will be much more bug free than any previous version and plays much better. With all the new content you want that.

3) More time to decide what type of league you want to start to take advantage of all the new stuff!

Could you release it on the 30th so I can get it 2 days early on the 28th when I get home since I prepaid? Everyone else can wait since all that matters is what I want.

I love it. OOTP gets an official release date and people complain. To all who haven't, kudos to you. If you are complaining about it not coming out on opening day, grow up. I'll take April 14th over July or September anyday, which is when it used to release.

You must have missed the part that said only for you it will be released April 14, 2011.
