Heh, much like those Windows 7 commercials, I recognize some bits of mine in there.
![]() I'll make one suggestion immediately: on the standings screen, add either a blank line between the last team in a division and the division name/column header line OR add a highlight behind the division name/column header line. (Maybe even a combination of both.) It would help the legibility of the screen enormously. Right now it's cluttered and hard to read without some sort of vertical breaks. Oh, and I'd still rather see a fractional ½ than a decimal .5 for the half-game behind standings. Looks much nicer and more elegant.

Thanks for the screenshots, Markus.
Any chance we will get OOTP11 by Opening Day? I hope in future years you can make that the regular game release date. I hope you will have "ootp blue" skin this year. Not impressed with the skin used on these screenshots. I wish you would make the "faded-out logos" optional. I don't care for the baseball diamonds and baseball player hidden deep under the the script. I know these are minor issues, but wish you would unclutter the screens, which would improve the clarity. At least give us a skin without them. No big deal with me. I love the game anyway. Last edited by Eugene Church; 02-14-2010 at 05:18 PM. |

It would be easier to read his way. I like the use of fractions rather than decimals in "games behind". On the rows on the team standings use alternating light and medium shadings for each team. It would be easier on the eyes and easier to read. Last edited by Eugene Church; 02-14-2010 at 05:24 PM. |

yeah i hope a Blue skin is included, thats the one i always use. Don't care for white skins in ootp or FM. This skin looks a lot like FM10's default, with the button at the top

This would be nice but I don't find it difficult to read now since the header row is in red text so it does standout somewhat. I like the .5, it's much nicer and elegant. 6 1/2 would look rather odd vs 6.5 imho. |

I vote for 1/2. When I used to read newspapers in the "old days" I never saw .5, It looks not quite real.

I really wish there was a step by step process/template for creating skins. I would enjoy that and would spend some time creating several. I know years ago some people made a few, but I think it was a lot simpler then. The possibilities would be endless. You could have skins for different eras, like the 1900's, modern day, Japanese, International, etc etc. Having said all that, I really like that skin and the new layout. Looking awesome. I have to admit I was starting to lose interest in OOTP, but this just may draw me back in!!

This game (and just about every sports game that I know of) comes out every year. Markus makes improvements to the core game every year. It is never just a "new look'. As the release date gets closer I am sure there will be some kind of feature list posted.

Looks good to me. Can't wait to see the final "elf" product.

While I like the redesign of the upper interface, I must express my disappointment with the new Manager's Home page. I can't believe the players stats is gone! And what replaces it, the "Season Time Line" will provide redundant information for anyone who has simulated an entire year. I don't know why you'd need that information accessible when it's clearly laid out in the autoplay dropdown menu. It takes up a lot of space for something that is the least dynamic of any of the sections. I was hoping for more user customization (say in the form of widgets, like in play by play?) as far as some of the most used screens (i.e. sim screen and manager's home page).
At least give us the option to use the old Manager's Home design. I typically use Manager's Home as my default page as I sim day-by-day. I can't really see myself using the new home page, without more access to stats... |

It seems to be regressing to me. Buttons are bigger and more cartoonish and "arcade"-like rather than being clean and smooth. The "news" on the manager home page seems more created for beginners, as a step-by-step to how to run the team. I'd rather have my team record and the important upcoming serie(s)/game(s), hot and cold and maybe a prospect that is progressing/regressing. Put the "to-do's" on a separate page, maybe something simply called "to do's" or "Events" (??) The top bar has too much information. And, is there a need for two "finish today"'s? |

This skin was made to be more accessible and friendly to newbies. Nothing wrong with that. Hopefully it brings some new people to the same old crowd. |
