There isn't an option for "I never visit the boards." Now we'll never know.

I go back and forth. I've got a Mariners franchise that I have played out one season and simmed a couple. When I sim I stay very involved and it usually takes a few days to sim through one season. I love the offseason activities.

Right now I am trying to play out each game and get more involved with the day to day activities of my ballclub.

If I have an important game or a game started by a pitcher who I am following closely I will play the whole game out in 1-pitch mode. If I get way ahead or way behind in the division or league I will sim some games in September to get to the playoffs. If I am in the playoffs I play out all my games.
This is me also.
Thank you for saving me the typing

I voted "I play out only the important games and simulate the rest." Normally, that means I sim most of the regular season, a couple of weeks at a time. Then I keep assessing roster moves, trades I want to make, etc. Then I resume simming the season. I play out my team's games against key rivals late in the season. And I play out all of my team's games in the playoffs.

Schroedinger's OOTP cat? The one that is both a forum member and not a member? The one who sims all its games out and plays all its games out? That cat?

That cat? I have it locked up in my basement. There's a 50/50 chance it's doomed.

Almost exactly what I do.

I play out about one game in each series during the regular season, simming the others. In September, if I'm in a tight pennant race, I play out most of the games. If I've clinched a playoff spot, I sim the rest of the September games. I play out ALL playoff games...

It's very telling that "online league" isn't even an option here.

Sad, really.

And there's no "head-to-head" option either!

I don't have a "method" sometimes i sim, sometimes i play it out, it depends on the league, team, situation, & my mood. if there is a pattern it would probably be that i play out more in the beginning of the season & at the end of the season & sim more during the dog days.

I fed Schroedinger's cat to Pavlov's dog.

There is a 50/50 chance he's full.
