So I called Brett Lorin up to Seattle in September and he pitched adequately, despite the control issues. I had high hopes for Lorin as an anchor for our rotation the following season. However, he a took a huge hit in ratings, both current and potential, and I now consider him a possible injury replacement at the back of the rotation. That might be a stretch.
I guess that's how it goes with prospects. |

Ouch, tough break. That is indeed how it goes, though.

That's good to know. I've held off calling up a couple of pitching prospects not knowing if they could learn pitches in the majors in OOTP X. Now I can go ahead and give them a look. |

I can vouch for this one. Just happened with an outstanding setup man on my staff. I want to say he's 30+yrs old and picked up a changeup, barely registering on the 20-80. Problem is now, I can't convince my manager not to use him as an occasional starter! I can't complain a whole lot, being in last place the first of July and the setup man went 2-2 with a 1.59 ERA in June, including 2 starts. Maybe he's on to something.
