Oops you are indeed correct. Chances are they will qualify, but they have not as of yet.
Ties against El Salvador and 2-1 wins against Honduras do not leave me very hopeful of the USA's chances.

Looks like I was wrong about Kaka. I still think this is a stupid move for Milan, although you can certainly do a lot of rebuilding with $100 million. I think they'll struggle to qualify for Europe next season, though.

El Salvador just beat Mexico. The world of football is becoming a much more balanced place.

Transfer record didn't last long as Man Utd have accepted an £80 million offer from Real Madrid.

Good business if you ask me, they make around £70 million profit on him and get rid of a player that's done nothing but moan and talk about wanting to leave for the past 2 years. Opens the door for them to make Tevez a full time Man Utd player, buy Valencia from Wigan Athetic and still have £40 million to spend.

Thank God the endless stepovers are gone from my Saturdays/Sundays soon. Good riddance.

I wish they'd sign Tevez, but I fear they won't.

I can’t see anyway Tevez will sign for United. Why would he want to? He put in a superb season, was pivotal in winning the EPL and ECL double, then got replaced. Fergie left him out of nearly every major game this season. It is also far from a ringing endorsement when the club decline the option because they don’t think you are worth the transfer fee they agreed a few months before... it must rankle even more when this coincides with them finding significantly more money for Berbatov and another £15million for Tosic and Ljajic. It is pretty obvious Fergie doesn’t rate him as more than a squad player.

Tevez has had his nose put out of joint, and I’m sure is more than a little annoyed by the blatant lies the club told the fans about offering him a deal. United might now want Tevez but I expect that ship has sailed. It isn’t like he’ll be short of suitors and his next contract will take him through his peak years. If you were Tevez would you risk staying under Ferguson, especially in WC year?

In somewhated related news, Setenta Sports is looking to go under soon, so it might seem like SKY might once again be the sole owner of EPL action.

If I were a betting man, a certain eastern seaboard programming network might splash some cash as their CL ratings have been really strong.

Starting next season, the CL will be shown on Setanta/FSC.

Probably be FSC and Fox Sports Net now that Setanta is going under.

Lets hope so. There isnt even an option to get Setanta on Time Warner. They are also going to show the CL Final on FX.

I can't get Setanta here either. I wish ESPN would have struck a deal earlier. They'd probably have to create a new channel due to college football.

Depends on what he wants, money or medals. Personally if I was him I'd stay at United, he's hardly going to get paid pennies and he's got more chance of winning trophies there than anywhere else plus this season didn't effect his playing time with Argentina as he played in 10 of their 14 games and would have been more if he hadn't got sent off twice.

Hopefully they don't, not the football factor that bothers me as can get my fill and more on other channels but they also show Australian rugby league games and the AFL games live.

Dumb stupid awful move by Man Utd. Ronaldo is the best player on earth. Where else are you going to get 97 goals in three years from the midfield?

And I do not understand the Tevez love. He is a forward who has scored 19 goals in 63 games. Yawn

It's a little too early to be judging United here. Sure they give away the best attacking player in the game, but they also get rid of someone who no longer had any desire to be at the club and more so can splash that money around to bring in 3 or 4 quality players now. Keep in mind, United does have a better tract record than Madrid's strategy of trying to buy a Euro Championship through high profile signings, and they may in fact be a better team without ronaldo when all is said and done.

Cristiano Ronaldo Doing Paris in Los Angeles

Quote:
Paris Hilton: Ronaldo's Easiest Score Ever

Posted Jun 11th 2009 12:20PM by TMZ Staff

Cristiano Ronaldo is officially the second greasiest person Paris Hilton has ever been with!!!!

Paris apparently mourned her break-up with Doug Reinhardt for about 2 hours yesterday, then filled the deep dark void with C.R.

They both went to MyHouse last night and left at around 3 AM for a Ron-dezvous at Nicky Hilton's pad, according to X17. Cristiano left at around 5 AM ... We're guessing they didn't talk about the journalists in North Korea.

By the way, after Cristiano split, Paris came out and was drinking some sort of chaser.
