Steve...do you have any idea what can be causing this problem? I have a 800MHZ 256Ram. Video card is updated and using Direct 9x. So many of us seems to be having the same problem...there has to be some common thread to all of this.

could it be something schedule related? The schedule was fixed, but I wonder if the dates or something could mess something up. There's just no reason the actual player file should ever pose a problem. It's no different than a fictional league from a technical standpoint.

On the seasons where it crashes...I have tried generating new schedules at the start of the season but it didn't help.

I have no idea what would be happening. Like I said, lots of people have had no problems with it, myself included. And there is no reason the player file would cause it, because it's no different than a fictional league.

Someone in a thread on the main board mentioned that there were a couple of minor league players that I think had "no position" or something. Could it be that with some folks those guys don't make it to the majors (hence no problem) and with others they do make it (causing a problem).

But you're talking then a minor leaguer taking 7 or 8 years to reach the majors? I hadn't noticed any position issues, but I'll double check.

i don't think it could be the roster set just cause that doesn't really make sense for the player file to take 7 years to crash...

then again, i used ankit's revised lahman and simulated 15 years (using the sim X years) option starting from 2003 and had no problems.

I was almost wonderng if it was the 108 yr old guy who was a FA due to a typo. But it wouldn't make sense to take 10 years for that to do anything. If it was it's been fixed.

I should be testing over the next couple of days, but as I said, I've never seen a problem.

Just a follow-up observation.

I've run two custom leagues now up through the 2080's with no crash at all. I get the crash consistently, just as some others have described, with the default rosters and TotalMinors.

This is just a corroborating observation. I understand the case that it makes very little sense that the rosters would be culprit. Something weird is going on though.

If I notice anything helpful, I'll pass it along.

I ran the new TotalMinors rosters until the year 2035 with no crashes so something was fixed.

The default rosters always crash after a few years and custom leagues never crash.
