Except for a few, the Canucks were awful in game 2 (even Bobby had a bad game) and, while maybe not having Salo for the next few games should really hurt them in a number of ways, I don't see them playing that poorly again for the rest of the series.

You have to give it to those Hawks kids though. They sure are an explosive bunch. Show some physicality and smarts (no more stupid penalties), however, and I still think the Canucks should beat them. Sure, a group of kids can sometimes break through, but I don't think they're there quite yet. They make more mistakes than any Cup contender should make and they have times where they seemingly just don't try very hard. You have to give it a full 60 every night. If they do that, the mistakes may not matter because their scoring might make it up.

Whichever team gets through is going to have a hell of a time getting past either of the Red Wings or Ducks though. I don't think we'll see a better match-up throughout the entire playoffs. The Ducks may have been an 8th seed based on their regular season record, but they're certainly no push-over.

Some great game 2's. Well, not so much as a Bruins fan as we lost. But, it is always good to see a competitive series, and I think Carolina showed last night that they can bring it.

After game one, I was wondering if we were going to have another easy run like in the first round (no offense to Canadiens fans intended). Apparently the Hurricanes are going to make us work for this, and hopefully the B's can rise up their game too.

Also the case in Chicago and Anaheim. Both of those teams stole a game on the road, it will be interesting to see what happens from here. I think we are definitely in for some good hockey though!

I'm still pulling for the all the original six teams, and just watching the Pens/Caps series as it doesnt matter to me who wins there. First game was a great one though, I'm hoping that the series goes the distance as that will provide some memorable hockey.

Yep, Carolina came to play last night. They played physical and I think that surprised the Bruins. I fully expect the loss to get the Bruins back in gear. They were coasting for too long. Should turn out to be a great rest of the series.

Getting ready to watch Crosby vs. Ovechkin Game 2. True, there are nineteen other players dressed for each team, but this is what everybody expects to be the key matchup.

3-3. If it wasn't for Dave Steckel, they'd still be playing.

Hmm, so Andrew Ference is hurt AGAIN. He's becoming the Mike Hampton of the NHL. Not a huge loss though. The Sherrif Shane Hnidy is taking his spot.

Hopefully tonight, the Bruins will wrest some momentum away from the Peter McNeelys

Just when the Canucks thought it was safe.... Blackhawks tie it with less than 3 minutes remaining and stun them in OT! They really gotta get their game going Saturday though!

Wow, Scott Walker did not get suspended for his third man in/sucker punch last night.

In a way, I'm glad. If the Bruins go up 2 or 3 goals next game. Walker better watch out for 17

The 2 problems are on Aircheck last week debating Pens/Caps series and saying it should be on a major Network and it's not just on Versus and today on Around the Horn talking about Ducks/Red Wings being on NHL Network and Bob Ryan said it should be on ESPN because of Barry Melrose.

In my opinon Versus and ESPN should Hookup not just for Hockey but so Versus can do Sports Central besides every night but as a replacement on nights when Sportscenter got to be on ESPNNEWS.

I would love to see the NHL back on ESPN not just for the playoffs but perhaps two games a week. It is better than garbage like the WNBA or poker.

completely outrageous that didn't merit a suspension. It's right in the rule book that an instigator penalty in the final minutes of the game warrants a minimum one game suspension. Apparently, Walker indicates that 'what was said on the ice' made him think they were going to fight. Funny that the refs that were right there called it differently.

I hope the Bruins come out and skate like they can tonight and force this series back to Boston. Walker will get his, but I'd rather they put him out of the playoffs than beat him up.

Justice in the NHL is not blind, but it is dumb.

If you're going to refer to rules, then refer to the whole rule and not just part of it. Those automatic suspensions are always subject to review and can be rescinded.

Neither of the Refs was standing close when the incident occured. So what was said is debateable and open to interpretation.

This is surely one of the best playoffs in recent memory.

Fair enough, but I think with the precedent that was set with the early round suspensions that should have qualified as suspension worthy.

Either way, I think it's irrelevent as all that really matters is what happens on the ice tonight, and hopefully on Thursday night.

Meh guess it depends on who your rooting for. If your a Pittsburgh/Washington fan then yes. If your myself, the playoffs are done starting today.

Oh you silly Canadians

But really, these playoffs have been amazing. So many one goal games. OT games. Crazy late 3rd period goals.
Chicago puts four goals on the board in the third period to finish off Vancouver.

... and not to mention three game 7's in round #2. This is the way it should be. Too bad all the teams I was rooting for are golfing...
