Uniform Templates
Looking for the textured uniform templates like the ones silvam14 has out on photobucket, but preferably without the logos on them. Love all of the color combination but seems like everyone i find with a team name i use has different colors. Just wondered if anyone had these jerseys in numerous colors and combinations but without team names. I can use photoshop to do that.
Thanks. You guys are awesome, i'm still learning photoshop so hopefully i can chip in with some uni's/logo's in near future. sample....

Did you check the stickied thread Custom Cap and Jersey Template ? When you go into "Logos, Graphics, and HTML" it's like the 4th from the very top..

Thanks for responding .. i did read through that thread. The original link from deft was no longer valid so i went to padre fan's site and downloaded the templates. However, when i open them in Photoshop it seems that all of the layers are merged so i cant extract the logo from the jersey. I'm still a photoshop noob so i will try again this evening. Its very possible i'm doing something wrong, just haven't figured it out yet. Thanks again.

On Padres Fan's site at the bottom you should see "Jersey Styles (Consolidated) v1.0 by Deft". This should be blank jersey templates without logos for use with OOTP, I believe there are over 200 of them. I think this will do what you are looking for.
http://www.jazzrack.us/mods/ootpmods...idated_1.0.zip These will be blank templates... by selecting the Jersey colors inside the game you can put whatever colors you want on them. Then by loading a jersey logo separately the game will place the jersey logo (whatever you want) on the template you choose. Like I said, I think this will do what you want... or at least come very close. Last edited by Scott Vibert; 04-10-2009 at 10:07 AM. |

There are Jersey Styles that are used in-game as Scott Vibert. They do not require Photoshop but also don't have the smoothing you see in the Photoshop Templates. I will update my links.

Yes the numerous templates you created are very cool. I love all of the combinations it provides. I was hoping to add the extra touch with the shading/textures similar to the cougars jersy up top. Maybe there is an overlay someone has that can be dropped as a layer onto these jerseys? Thanks again for the help !

Photoshop 7, that's what I have at home, and that file should open correctly. I know I can't use it with Photoshop 5.5 here at work (too many layers). I'll have to get back to you and make sure that works on my end, at least. If not, I'll post some texture layers you could use as overlays.

I just want to help a little. The word 'template' is used in OOTP for different objects that have different uses.
1) The "Jersey Styles (Consolidated) v1.0 by Deft" are used by OOTP to easily make jerseys within the game. These go in the 'JERSEYS" folder. These are basically blank jerseys with a style such as pinstripes and sleeve colors. In-game you use the Options & Ballpark/Edit Team Colors, Logos and Uniforms screen. You select the style of the jersey (ex. default_jersey_001_1.png) then you set the colors. You also select the cap style. Then you need to let the game create cap and jersey logos or you can select premade logos. 2) The Custom Cap and Jersey Post refers to files that are opened in Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or another graphic program. These templates have multiple layers that you paint yourself. You add the pinstripes, colors and logos. These are often used to recreate MLB uniforms and caps. These also go in the 'JERSEYS' folder. You select the uniform and cap you want but you don't use the cap or jersey logos. 3) Templates are also used to easily setup a league. A 2009 MLB template will have all of the teams with their affiliates in place. Someone did all of the hard work for you. You just load a template and your league is setup for you. Three objects use the word 'template' with three different meanings. |

A template is a skeleton used to create something. I think its usage is correct in all three instances.

I downloaded the template again using Deft's signature
You do need to have basic understanding of Photoshop and how layers work. link, and it works fine in Photoshop. You do need to unzip the files first. Then open in Photoshop, make sure that you can see the layers...I believe you can just hit the F7 key if you don't see them. From there, you may need to select the logos set to make it visible, you may need to expand the layers inside the set by clicking on the arrow if it is pointing to the right instead of pointing down. You can just create new layers inside the logos set and copy the logo you want to use. Hide or show the various layers to select what you want to use... Hope this helps out.. |

Good advice here. Here's a texture layer I'm using. You may need to adjust opacity to your liking, and color of the sleeves to match torso.
