I went out this morning to shovel snow and when I got out there, I noticed a couple of things.

1. I had short pants on and no shirt
2. I had no snow shovel
3. I had no snow to shovel

Glad I live in Central Florida

heh, I walked out this morning myself, and there was no snow to shovel. However, some sort of wierd ice storm must have passed through in the night, for every last thing was covered in a single sheet of ice about half an inch thick.

I live in PA.

Frankly, since OOTP9 was kind of late, maybe OOTP10 should be released in time for Opening Day 2010.

From December 17th thru 26th, it snowed 30 inches in Redmond (Ridge), WA. It was one of the worst snow storms on record, across the mountains in Eastern WA, Spokane set an alltime record for snow, it snowed something like 5 feet there!!!

I hate Seattle in the winter, we either get rain, snow or wind in the winter time.

lol, see, this is why the devs can never win. If they rush the product out to be in time for Opening Day, they risk shipping a product with bus in it, and lose customers over it.

If they take their time to squash all, or nearly all bugs to create a better product initially, they run the risk of losing customers for shipping the product late.

I would rather it be late with every feature of the game working properly, than to have the game be shipped on time with bugs in it, because, quite frankly, I still have yet to even import the league that I play out every single game into OOTP9. Hell, I still have a few games left in the regular season in OOTP 2007, then I will play out every game in OOTP 9.

I am guessing most people who play out their games entirely are in no real rush to see 10 come out. We are generally the more patient crowd I guess.

Nah, it'll just keep getting later and later until it's so late, it's actually released on Opening Day.

That would take some programming skills to fit a bus in the program.

I share this feeling completely. Better to give it some more develoment time than to rush it, although the obvious issue of income generation puts a limit to how long Markus can afford to hold onto it.
That being said, I was hoping to hear what he is focusing his energies on!

I'd love to see the game released by then, but that's not going to happen. It'll be out by July 1 at the latest.

I'm afraid you may be right, satchel. If OOTP10 is not out before or near Opening Day, it may be one of the only baseball sims that is not. I cannot help but think that that's not good for Markus' business. But what do I know?

You should have never given up the Farenheit thermometer. It was unpatriotic to do so and took away another little crumb of British quaintness. And when it's all gone, THEN what will there be?

Opening Day 2010 - let's see, that's about 1 year, 3 1/2 months away. I certainly hope OOTP 10 is out by then.

F = 1.8C + 32 The conversion is fairly easy
