Wide range on system requirements

Hi there, I am new as I just discovered this game. I am a player of Baseball Mogul but I am getting tired of it. I have read up on OOTPB and it looks better. However I am concerned about the system requirements. There is a wide range on the min to recommended. It says on the web page that min is good for a small 8 team league. My processor speed is fine, but my computer has only 512mb of RAM. Will I be able to run a full 30 team league with that kind of memory? I want to know this before I spend $50 on buying a game.
