So Belle is a moron because he laid down the bunt more often? Which is it?

Bunting when you're not the pitcher or Brad Ausmus isn't "teamwork", it's bad baseball.

Here's another one..grrrrr!
Pads are playing Cards. Game tied at 8 in the top of the 10th, after Hoffman gave up a game-tying 2-out triple to Adam Kennedy. Anyway, the Cards have men on 2nd and 3rd with two out vs Cla Meredith (1.86 ERA). Larussa has used all his position players, so I intentionally walk Kennedy to get to the pitcher (Mike Parasi, who has 1 ratings across the board). Anyway, he gets a 2 run single!!! WTF!! No way, Jose. That's one of the frustrating things I've found about OOTP is over 50% of the time the intentional walk and Pitch Around backfire on ya. Especially, the Pitch Around. I'd say that's more like 90% it backfires. |

I realized at a very young age my father was full of crap. There was only one piece of wisdom he past to me that I have remembered, and it was about baseball.
Never underestimate the batter. Any man with a man with a bat in his hand is dangerous. Because of this, I only use the intentional walk when absolutley necessary. |
