Not to make things more complicated but . . . on nearly every other screen showing ratings the user has to choose between OSA and their scout. If choosing between the two doesn't apply in this case I understand not have the drop down box, but it seems to have the potential to be confusing.

Definitely a huge improvement. Almost exactly what I was looking for.

As said above, it'd be great if the columns were sortable and you could filter out certain positions and/or players.

The only other improvements would be an option allowing you to use more frequent reports. If scouting is off, for instance, it would be nice to have an option to say you want more frequent updates than once per year. Then, you could choose if you want to see development changes every 6 months, every 3 months, etc. Once a year is a little skimpy.

Using scouts, this is a better report. You have the option of using the last scouting report that might be a month or 3 months old. But then it jumps to a year. It would be nice to choose a particular date to use. Like if I wanted to see how players developed since opening day, I could choose the opening day report.

Overall, though, very, very nice. I think my development tracker might now be obsolete.

One question, Markus... will these changes be saved in a .csv anywhere? I could see the potential for a development graph mod if these changes can be accessed via the data dumps.

Great work!

This is much, much more than just putting the report back into the game... this is a big improvement! I never found much value in the old development reports, but this new report gives a lot of context, history, and analysis.

Well, I can't say this is the ideal way, at least for me, of dealing with development reports (I'd prefer a log of all changes as they happen), but it's nevertheless a welcomed addition. Thank you, Mr. Heinsohn .

Such a great piece of music cannot be denied!
That would be GREAT!

I played a whole season of NHL '93 with the Whalers just to hear Brass Bonanza at the face offs. Ahhh...Geoff Sanderson, Kevin Dineen...the memories.

Back to the thread, the Dev Report looks great Markus. Keep up the good work!

That was the reason I loved playing against the Whalers in NHL 95 .

Excellent Markus!

I use 2-8 - so I still think it will be useful in determining who's really improving.

I had forgotten the awesomeness of the Whalers' theme song. The new Development Report wishes it was half as cool.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Well, in OOTP 9 there is no 'as they happen'... it's a flowing development, no sudden changes. That's the reason why the old report was gone in the first place

Haven't we been through this before?

I didn't mean radical changes. I mean any minuscule change. If a guy has +1 in contact over the past year (with scouting off), there was a point in time, a date where he went from a 7 to an 8, no?

But yeah, overall, it's a good thing that it flows rather than having spectacular flameouts.

No, because internally the ratings are on a 1-200 scale, so in your case, he would go from 70 to 80, and this does not happen since he improves by single steps

Markus, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure when I first looked at this thread the + and - bits were on the far right with the ratings in the centre. Or did I just imagine that?
