Dang.. They're going a little overboard on the pre-ordering me thinks.

It would probably be better for your blood pressure if you found another thread to read.

Started with 1, and have every version released. Still have them all, although don't ask me where the CD for 1 is.

I thought I bought version 1, but the only CD I found was the red white and blue cd which as I remember correctly was version 2.0. I still think that I may be one of the original OOTP1 buyers though...... I do remember a version that just came on a white cd, could this be version 1????

Markus, don't you have the records from the sales of OOTP 1?????

I think I bought v1, but I'm going to say v2 just to hack off Queensryche.

I'm not mad, just disheartened that so many people can't read and comprehend. Especially adults.

Could we please get all the non-OOTP1 people deleted from this thread?

Yeah, I'm trying to figure if I was even born yet when OOTP 1 came out.

I bought one of the very first copies of OOTP 1, but I go back with you way before that back to when you were writing utilities for Diamond Mind Baseball.

Through the years OOTP has remained the best game ever.

I think most people understood. I have. My answer would be: "Malleus Dei, Treches and dim13. The first version I bought was OOTP3, therefore I wasn't an OOTP1 buyer."

Anyone who posts in this thread saying they started with Version X or Y is implicitly answering Markus' question, for Markus didn't say "post here if you've purchased OOTP1 and don't if you didn't". If you want to be literal and technical, every person who's mentioned what version they started with is actually answering "Not me" to the question Markus asked (that is, who is still around since the original version), which is perfectly valid.

Besides which, it might be a very short thread if it were to be restricted to "Malleus Dei, Treches and dim13." No MH thread is allowed to be less than 100 posts. My rule.

Same here. I got it at...I think it was at either Best Buy or Micro Center.

I clearly remember the day I bought it. I had taken the wife to the mall to buy something or other at Target. Giant sized bottles of detergent or nice towels or something that she was very pleased with.

I bought Season Ticket Baseball and was utterly blown away when I began playing it that afternoon.

Stats and more stats...trades...fictional players...fictional teams based in any city I chose...amazing.

I still have it. I keep it as my last-resort baseball management sim just in case that ViaTech e-licensing company goes under.

Agreed.

I think it is nice to have a thread like this and have little fun, when everybody around here is excited about the release of OOTP 9.
