Info should be uploaded smoothly, but your scouts might not end up as you want.

In OOTP 9, scouting has changed so that you no longer have a team of many scouts, but rather a single scouting director.

This should be my 200th post. I think that it is appropriate to use it to thank Markus for the great surprises!

LOVE THE BALL FLIGHT ANIMATION!!!

yes, this would be very useful

Wow, over hundred posts over one night (to me, it's over night )
Can't wait for the release!
I assume it's June 18th ET, not Japan time.

With the ability to move ball locations around, Markus has unwittingly taken us a step close to full Blernsball compatibility!

Well, Mogul and PureSim had animated balls for some time now... heck, other games had it 20 years ago

Yea I didn't mean the ball flight. The park designer... BTW, you know I am kidding around, Baseball is Baseball, so it's not like there is really any such thing as copying a feature. The real interesting thing is that we both built engines that use retrosheet ball flight locations. Some day we'll meet and I bet it will be scary how similar we approached many things.

PureSim 2005:

Cool, I did not even know Puresim uses Retrosheet PbP data... but well, this makes sense I guess since it's the best source to get the engine straight

Edit: And you added the 2F location too, which is not part of retrosheet. That's indeed scary! But you haven't broken up the center field locations, these are used in the retrosheet PbP data but are not to be found on their hit location diagram. Anyway, funny stuff!!

Edit2: Where's that ballpark designer in PS 2007? I fired up my copy (yes I own it of course ) but could not find it

Click on "Ballpark" from the team screen, then click modify Ballpark, then there is a button that says "Configure for PSPNCast..."

I guess I need some work on discoverability of features!

BTW, you are doing a pretty convincing job pretending you never saw it

Well, I never did see it, so no need to pretend anything Also it just took 30 minutes to code, it's not like this was a complicated thing that needed a lot of 'thinking', after all OOTP uses retrosheet ball locations since I started coding OOTP 2006 in April 2004...

Edit: I found it in PS 2007... really looks/works similar.

Great minds think alike. Markus, maybe we should work together some day.

This could be interesting for other reasons.

Woof. Scary - it's like I'm getting the ability to predict the future these days. Now, if I could only do that at the racetrack . . .

Why not! I wish you all the best for DDSB, but should it not work out the way you hope then I'm open for ideas But that chance is pretty slim I guess, Gary handles his company in a great manner as far as I know!
