Do you mean a forum, or a thread? This is a thread specifically for OOTP 9...

I asked a few days ago but received no response. Can anyone give any info or has anyone heard any info on what the new flexible playoff formats will be? The 1 vs 2 in the second round really ruined the last version for me and I'm hoping that, along with some other things are fixed/added. (especially the ability to have a very long playoff series, much longer than 9 games)

A quick question that probably has been asked / answered before: how many times (on how many PCs) can we install the game?
Thanks

Purchasing the game once gives you two licenses.

Damn. Does that mean, if I wanna play the game at home, at work, and at my folks' home, I have to buy the game twice?

Sounds like you could do with a laptop.

If you really want to play it on more, you could have it set up on the two computers you play it on the most then if you realize you're going to the third place and will probably want to play it there, you could unlicense it off one of the other computers and then license it on the third. Just remember to unlicense it before you leave so you can later relicense it on one of your regular OOTP playing computers.

looking forward to version 9

I have been on board since version 4.? and have been pretty happy with the product and the amount of work put into each upgrade, yet 6.0 was not the best. My suggestion to bleacher creature and those who are disappointed is to try some other product and jump on their blogs and see what is actually out their for competition. After they spend their time and cash with some of the other competitors and their support forums. Then and only then can they speak with authority on the competition. I have tried some other programs and have found the product and the support here to be top notch. My hats off to Marcus and the team to all their hard work and also to the helpful and considerate forum users who have helped me really enjoy the product.

Just pre-ordered!
I too want to lend some support to the OOTP staff. This game just keeps getting better every year. I love being able to come on here and post my thoughts re how i think the game could be better, see what others are thinking, and then best of all listen to what the man behind the game has to say. This interaction and support from the OOTP community is unrivaled anywhere else in the gaming community.
I eagerly await the release of OOTP 9!

First version of OOTP I've purchased since 6.5, and greatly looking forward to it! One question: I was hoping that preordering OOTP 9 would allow me to play the 2008 version but I take it this isn't the case? (If it is, I couldn't figure it out) Thanks for any help.

Hi, and thanks!

Unfortunately, pre-ordering OOTP 9 doesn't entitle you to OOTP 8.

However, you can always download the demo of OOTP 8 and use it to get your feet wet!

Thanks,

Steve

I would like to see the OOTP 9 forum up, the OOTP 2006/2007/8 stuff should probably be merged into one "previous versions" forum.

Still looking forward to a complete feature list for the game. Its been almost two months since the teaser feature list was released. Last year we got a complete list on 1/30, and an updated list on 2/11.

No. I also paid with Pay Pal.

This is my first new version of OOTP since 6.5. Loved that game but I am now officially antsy for version 9. I will now ask the question that no one has yet asked or thought about

When is it coming out???

Any hints about when? I know, I know, when its done, but as Dr Evil is quoted many times as saying "Throw me a fricken bone here"! We need some new info on the game just to satisfy us for a few hours. Maybe a couple of new screenshots or feature releases or maybe, just maybe a possible release date.

Or maybe we can just wait.
