Mac users' jaws will drop

Is there going to be a compensation plan for Mac owners dental injuries?

I like how OOTP has gone from micromanaging the tasks of several scouts to just allocating resources to different scouting focuses, but I think it's too bad that we don't have at least one guy that we can send off on special in-depth scouting missions. There was something cool about sending scouts on separate scouting missions, it's just that there was too much that you almost had to do if you wanted to stay within the competitive pack. If you just had one guy who you could send on special missions I don't think it would make for too much of an advantage over people who never used that guy yet it might allow for just a bit of a reward for digging further within the game. I'd really think about allowing for just that one special mission guy.

You can still have your scouting director scout an individual player, resulting in a very accurate report...

That's is my favorite OOTP logo of the series. Kudos to whoever made it.

Looking forward to the new release....the wife is not....she gave me a list of stuff she wanted me to do before, and I quote, "you get carried away with your new game".

What are the chances the pre-order will still be available on May 1st? I'll get the game regardless I just would prefer for it not to show up on the CC bill for another month (I've bought my share of toys this month ).

For someone in the know, if it is not possible to answer that....it's cool.... just thought I'd ask.

A quick question: I was about to pre-order the game, when I noticed that, despite claiming the game costs 25 USD pre-ordered (or 40 USD later on), on the pre-ordering website the listed price is 25 EUR, not USD. What's the deal? Is it a bug? 25 EUR is almost 40 bucks, so in this case, I'd rather wait for the actual release
Thanks

We had this before.
Depends upon where you are.
The system knows where you are and if you are in Europe (or possibly even outside of USA and territories) then the price will be converted to Euros.
So even for the actual release it will be 40 Euros (outside of US).
(something to do with taxes, and blah blah blah)
I am in UK so this effects me as well.

You'll probably be asked to pay 40 EUR when it comes out.

Was just looking at the Miguel Cabrera screenshot. 6'2" 185. So much for accuracy.

Holyswish - that avatar is AWESOME! Had such fun playing MicroLeague.

Now, if only OOTP could have an in-game experience like that - it'd be perfect!

I was just reading about the improved features in OOTP9, and I saw two that really interested me:

More Flexible Playoff System
Improved Sim Times

This is a definite must-order for me. Count me in!

Pleased to hear it! (I hope it wasn't obvious to others that this was in and I just missed it.)

I'm guessing some might like the ability to still specially scout a specific team, league or country though with the corresponding lengthening in time to happen / less accurate results. At least we can still scout individuals however.

EDIT: I'm also wondering what limits your scouting budget. Does what you can spend on scouts come out of your "owner budget" and is therefore competing with what you can spend on player salaries?

So does this mean that people in India only have to pay 40 rupees?

What about the cost of an upgrade for those of us who have purchased the new version each year and even the minor upgrades along the way? I noticed it will have real opening day rosters. I suppose the issues from the last release have been addressed. I purchased the last upgrade for the roster set which has never worked. Also, will this version include stadiums, schedules, etc? I really look forward to having a version with a real working roster set. Thanks

We should be posting a clarification on purchases outside of the U.S. soon.
