I know i'm late to this but each league should be able to market its self how it see fit. some of the best adds i've seen have had incomplete information but gave a great insight to the character of the commish & the league.

I think it would be great to include it as an official "tips to marketing your on-line league" as a stickey at the top of the online league listing forums. where somebody in a semi-official copacity can collect the tips and present them in an orginized fashion in a single post.

Although this is true, this forum is no place to advertise leagues which aren't completely set up; and even worse than that are posts which "gauge interest" for nonexistent leagues.

Posts which recruit owners for ghost leagues diminish this forum's credibility and cause distress to those potential owners who get emotionally invested in leagues which evaporate.

The world of online OOTP leagues is a free market system, but as members of this community, we have a responsibility to protect "consumers" from sham "products." Enforcing standards in this forum is an important part of that responsibility.

Being a Commissioner or an Owner in an OOTP online league is a serious commitment. We cannot allow this forum to become a playground in which reckless people may, on a whim, abuse the protocols of our hobby.
