Name The Team (Worcester, MA)

I don't really have a leading candidate. Any serious ideas?

Ruby Legs or any variation of Reds/Red Sox/Browns/etc., etc.

Then I just went to the wiki page and grabbed names from anything in the town's history that looked interesting:

Revolutions
Spies
Barbs
Blackstones
Wagoneers
Perfectos (first recorded perfect game in pro baseball)
Tornadoes
Crusaders

Ooh...a nice list. Thanks. This should help.

You should call the stadium 'Seven Hills Stadium'. Worcester has historically claimed to be built amongst seven hills.

Canals
Bootleggers
Speakeasys

Those would also work from a historical perspective.

But wouldn't Sauce be a better nickname for a Worcestershire team as the sauce is called Worcestershire Sauce.

Yes. But it's still close enough for you to have gotten the joke.

I've played in the stadium for the Brockton Rox, not such a terrible team name. The Tornados play at Fitton Field. There is also a nice park in Worcester called Tivnan Field.
