Ouch. Great game.

SD may be out of the playoffs on a bad call.

Yeah, after seeing the replays. I definately agree with my above post. Holliday was out. (And while not homer-type rooting, but I was rooting for the Rocks.) He was definately out.

Sure didn't look like it. The umpire made no call. Certainly made it seem like he missed the plate.

The delay on the call at first made it seem like the ump saw the play as incomplete (no plate/no tag)...but then the call was made while Barrett was reaching to make the tag???

o yea, and if giles gets that throw on a line rather than kinda heaving it or whatever his throw was, holiday is dead.

only thing i can think is mclendon thought holliday maybe got the plate as he was passing and waited to see if barrett caught the ball

I didn't watch the entire game but didn't they blow a HR call in SD's favor earlier in the game anyways?

I don't think it matters. Orsillo is a solid play-by-play guy.

Nope. Didn't touch it.

I'll take the gift, though.

Yeah, like I said .. I'm nearly unbiased here - so not a SD fan crying. That was BS. He didn't touch the plate, the umps actions showed he knew he didn't touch .. and still safe. That was BS.

Ump musta had a hot date or something.

Oh, well. Guess I'll go for the Cubbies in the NL now.

Was hoping for Indians-Padres.

Wondering, could Bud Black go to Selig and protest the game, potentially bringing us back to the game from this point on?

True, but Colorado had a bad call on that home run turned double, so maybe it evened out.

Cue the instant replay talk.
