But...it's Nashville.

I'd try and make it there if I could get the money/time off.

Memphis might be a better choice.

There's always the option to have unofficial conventions - basically, just get togethers of people from here - in various locations. Not quite as cool, but it's something.

True, I can really plan ahead starting now. I have some connections w/ the Sounds (Brewers AAA team) and we should be able to really do things up right for 2008.

How abouts one in, say, London (or Milton Keynes).

Should be able to get all the UK people there, plus most of SI...

That would be great, Steve. I might be able to round up a "special guest" if it is held in Nashville. PM me if you'd like details.

Also, I'd like to catch up with the TBCB folks as well.

Depending on when/where it got scheduled, I'd do my best to be there. I think it would be a lot of fun.

Obviously, a Vegas convention would work great for me (and I may be able to get some cool group deals), but I'd probably try to make it no matter where it ends up.

Wow. I didn't know anyone would think of OOTP Convention this way.

If only I'm in the US, I'd attend the convention but I'm here in the Philippines eh, which I don't even have the money to go abroad.

Anyway, how in the hell is it the gayest idea? I, for one, who'd like to talk about and mingle with the OOTP people if given the chance.

London's a bit far off for us West Coasters. How about middle America, only this time a more interesting middle American city? St. Louis would be cool in a basebally way. Kansas City would also probably work. Or Toronto!

Hmm, it's 300 miles...not bad. If this got put together with a good amount of lead time, I think I could do this and persuade the wife to go. She picked the vacation spot this year, and it's Ontario.

It is incredibly self interested, but how about Cincinnati? There is the Great American Ballpark and the Reds Hall of Fame. It's the 2nd best team HoF behind the Packers, and is far superior to the Pro Football Hall in Canton.

Plus...there is Newport, Kentucky, which is full of vice and sin.
