Mets Man,

First let me say, "Let's Go Mets !!!"

Yes, I believe it's the same issue, except I would say you gain a huge advantage if you accept to acquire a crappy player from the other team - especially when you can go on to add 9 more quality players.

Just for kicks, I made 6 trades. Traded away 6 crappy players totals, acquired 60 good players total in return. Since then, I deleted the league and had to start over and only trade 1 for 1 - which actually now gives the computer teams the advantage since I could probably get more in return - but have no no way of knowing what is fair. This loophole almost makes the game unplayable if you like to do alot of trading like I do.

I agree also. Hopefully this can be fixed in the next patch. This is a real let down to me after so much hype and anticipation in this year's version.

Always good advice.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Dim, I tried to duplicate this and could not do so - the "Complete Trade" button grayed out exactly when and as it should.

Wolf,

Did you try it with the league files I uploaded ?

ftp://ftp.sigames.com/ootp/game-save/dim2.zip

It's happening in my league very frequently.

- patch 2.0.1.43
- commissioner turned off
- trade diifficulty: average
- finances/salaries turned off
- don't trade with other leagues
- any other setting I should list ?

If you are testing with the files I uploaded and could not duplicate, could you do me a huge favor ? Save the game (from the test files I uploaded) and then upload after you save the game. I'd like to check out the settings you are using, and perhaps just continue the game with the settings you have. Thank you.

Hm. Tried to rebuild it in my 1901 league.

Offered Freddy Parent (Bos SS) (4 of 5) for Ed Doheny (NY SP) (1 of 5) - Complete Trade is available

Added NY SP Christy Mathewson (3.5 of 5) - Complete Trade still available. If you look just at potential it's...about even. I'm a little ahead.

Added another player - FAILED.

So other than maybe undervaluing Mathewson it appears to be working.

It doesn't happen with every player (maybe 50%) - you won't be able to add just any player from the other team, but the players you could add have a high enough value to tilt the favor extremely in your favor. From my experience, you should be able to add up to 10 players from the other team (alot of good quality players).

I added a link of this thread to the TT, but as was mentioned earlier in this thread, this is issue TT 3385, already reported.

It's too bad how this thread ended up. I hope you were wrong, Nutlaw, or Markus has changed his mind since. It really is ridiculously easy to rip off the AI teams in certain circumstances, and I have to employ my own "house rules" which should not have to be necessary.
