Ok ok...to pass the time, let's start talking about what teams we are going to play as and what ideas we have for starting a game...
For the past few months I have been toying around with fictional leagues, historical re-sims, and AirmenSmith's rosters...but I have been waiting for a Cubby set honestly. I've been playing since OOTP2, and realistically the only time I can stick with a team is if its a real team (i.e. my Red Sox). I do like the older versions in that there were less "bells and whistles" and you could focus more on playing rather than who you had to claim off of waivers...2007 is still very fun though. I plan on starting it up with the Bosox as usual...My main concern is that prospects will take over the game too quickly so I may water their current ratings down just a bit and slow development speeds... Anyone else wanna post so I can pass the time? |

Well in your case you will have a boatload of prospects...so you may have to do a little watering-down so you don't have Longoria smashing 50 HRs in 2007. Speaking of him...did anyone else notice his name is DANGEROUSLY close to the super hot EVA LONGORIA?

Alright Cubby...I gave you a picture of the super hot desperate housewife. It's only fair now that you give me rosters.

I'll be taking over the Royals.
My goal is to break .500 before 2010. And to find some foolish GM to take Meche's contract off my hands.

And now instead of releasing I'm going to have to stare at Eva for a bit...
... ... ... Okay, now while I zip this junk all up and wait for things, you won't have to worry about oversaturating prospects too much. While there is a handful that are too good already, their potentials are all in line with the rest of the league, and after I simmed to 2010 just messing around last night, league totals were still VERY good, and we still had MLB vets putting up league leader numbers. |

What does he make this year? He is actually not that bad...the Royals are just terrible overall though. Should be fun rebuilding them.

I'm so jittery in anticipation, I'm putting on Low's "Drums and Guns" to mellow me out. It's working!!!

), Chris Young (ARI) are the guys that come to mind. Although to be fair, Moore, Patterson, Young, and Votto should all be good hitters now, just not as good as they are in the set. Guerra is way too developed for a 18 year-old.
