Not that I know of. I have 2 databases available - the default and the UTBA. This problem seems to be only in the UTBA. I received those .dat files from one of the guys in the league. Those files almost certainly came from the earlier beta version of the game. Not sure if this has anything to do with it or not.

Yes, probably one of the files was simply the wrong file?
Hard to know. But if it works for everybody except of one, and this one got the files copied over from somebody else, then I tend to believe something went wrong with the file transfer

Very possible, although I'd add that this file send is about 4 days old and as far as I know, no one else has tried to load it. So it still could pose a problem for others.

At any rate, it's not a big deal - as a matter of fact, I've already spent the time to fix it here. I only brought it up here in case it was a new version "gotcha".

Andreas has been on the board a lot in the recent weeks. There are still some adminstrative things going on before any official announcement is made. Keep all the suggestions coming.

the main thing this patch did was make it Vista compatible. It also did away with the Fusion splash screen and Andreas did somethings to make it run a little faster which IMO it does.

Can you run the game in trial mode?

Try to run the game as admin (right click on icon and click on "Run as admin..."

From the elicense FAQ:

23 "Sorry, could not get a license at this time..."This error indicates a problem with the eLicense software on your computer. "...get a license" does not refer to license acquisition from the eLicense servers, it refers to the eLicensed application being unable to retrieve license data on your computer. With older versions of eLicense, this error may occur on Windows XP when using the Fast Switch feature, and the logged-on user is not the owner of the program. This error will also occur when trying to run eLicensed software via Terminal Server or Remote Desktop.

Definitely. I'm figuring out more about programming every day, and I think I've got a tutor to help me out with specific questions now. (Zane has wound up being too busy and we've essentially lost touch.)

Trust me, when TBCB 3 comes out or whatever, I'll have the RFG updated and ready to go (if it's not a feature in the first place).

I have downloaded the patch. However, now it doesn't display the fighter images. I checked & the folder with the images-fighters is there with each individual graphic.

Suggestion?
