I think the chances of all of getting together for a draft is slim and none. |

Second, yes, your changes should be kept secret. And I think the change should be once only for each match. Third, the owners that don't want to change lineups from week to week don't have to. It's like most other sports leagues I've been in - some move guys up and down, others don't. There are definite merits to either strategy. |

Which actually brings up something else I thought of. If this does get passed, do we need to put a freeze on certain free agents being picked up by owners during the period of this rookie draft. Maybe freeze every fighter that hasnt participated in a match or something of that nature. I think there should be enough vets in there that this wouldnt be a problem. EDIT: I just read Jeremy's post and if it's going to be done over the course of the season then the draft system would work fine.

If we did the unlimited call-ups, I would have to set a date as to when you had to have your call-ups PM'd to me. Unlike the waivers though, I'd ask that you send me an entire list of who you were calling up and sending down all at once while keeping your roster at or below cap. |

After reading all the previous posts(had not really read up on all this before my last post),I can see how it would not be fair for great fighters just starting to be fighting against prime guys and that really kills my whole theory on my last post about the records and comparing fighters from different eras of UTBA. I must say this though, anything that will take work off of SAL, and if he wants this to happen...well,I say count me in. I really do not know how Sal and Dave(stats)do it! Anything that will help them is OK by me. Whatever you guys decide...this ole boy will be fine with it! You can always count on Left Jab being there....right at the bottom of the standings..LOL. Hopefully no more! See ya guys.

I see no problem with the original idea of having the cutoff date for moves being week 10. In fact I'm in favor of that unlimited call-ups with a deadline of week 10.

LOL..yeah. Luis is a very good 6. I think that I improved during the second half of last season. My lineup looks pretty good on paper, but of course I said that last year as well. Most of my guys are pre-prime or prime and the beginners are for the most part pretty good fighters. Who knows how this season is gonna turnout?! Outside of a couple of teams, most made significant changes. Should be fun anyway, hopefully some of that Beaver magic will rub off. By the way,did Gomez fight for you or was he just an offseason addition? Octavio Gomez.

I Have no problem with the proposal if it is really wanted, but I think it adds unneeded complexity to what is right now a fairly simple and fun league. I don't see the need for it, nor do I want to juggle my roster from match to match to be honest. If this rule is implemented I think it will force teams to make changes weekly or be at a disadvantage against those that do. As far as beginning and pre-primes getting beat up on the way up, well that's already begun so this will cause some definite inconsistency in the stats.

. One of the reasons I limited my moves this off season, maybe less is more.

I have posted a poll to vote on whether or not we should use a Minor League for the UTBA. The poll will close in six days. I have sent out PMs to all owners including myself reminding you to vote.
I made three changes to the original rules that were first posted here in this thread and left the rules of the Minors open to change if the proposal should pass. Please post any comments concerning this issue in the voting thread. |

More Playboys on the Block
These guys are probably going to wind up being dumped into the free agent pool to clear some Cap space, but if anyone is interested, PM me with your best offer (all are at Pre Prime):
Paul Smallman, LH (2) Jimmy Flood, MW (3) Mustapha Hamsho, MW (6) Jose Baret, WW (3) Pone Kingpetch, FLY (7) |
