schedules

Why does the game always generate a schedule where teams will have day offs at Sundays? That is not very realistic... Is there any easy way around this? I don't want to spend hours composing an own schedule for every year that I play...

Go to the mods section, get a link to PadreFan's web site and there is a link to a host of newly imported 07 schedules from last year that are now available. And they work great.

But even when I import the 2005 schedule for the 2005 season, it schedules off days on fridays and other weird stuff. That is really annoying.

Depends on how often it happens. Teams do occasionally end up with an off day on the weekend.

OOTP uses real calendars. So, if you import the 2005 MLB schedule into the year 2007, the days off are going to be ... well ... off.

OOTP's scheduler is the weakest part of the game, IMO. Only by the grace of modders do we have usable schedules, and if you happen to have a universe that's, shall we say, different, you're only real option is to make your own.

If you're using an MLB setup, though, I do believe the actual 2007 schedule shipped with the game ...
