Question Anyone know what time the download is going up for the preorder folks?

OK, I preordered. Gave SI and Markus the blood of my first-born (OK, so it was a bit less expensive than that.) Does anyone know when tomorrow the download is scheduled to go up for the preorder folks, so I don't spend my entire day waiting and staring at my email for nothing? Thanks .

If that is the quote, then you are indeed correct. The clock will only strike 1 once on Thursday morning.....after that it can only strike 1 again Thursday afternoon......

Now I have a decision to make. I go to work at 2AM so now I need to decide to wait until I get home to download and play or call in sick, DARN, this was a no brainer if the download was 9AM.....now I may need a sick day......

But of course, Mark may have misspoken and meant 1 P.M. Hopefully he'll see this and clarify.

DARN, now I need to know AM or PM. I get off of work at 1300 hours so I won't need to call in if it is indeed PM......

Marc, I hope you are listening. I only get 6 sick days a year (only have to left - darn January Flu season) and I really don't want to have to use my VACATION days if possible (more money if I cash them in, rather than use them)

Well then, we'll just keep conversing, and that will keep it bumped to the top for him.

Or someone could just PM him a link to this thread.

From what I saw in a different thread it looks like 8 a.m. eastern time is the target, which would be 1 p.m. in London.

You get a quota of sick days in the US? We don't have that luxury over here. Do they roll over to the next year so if you only get 1 day off due to diarrhoea one year you get all the missing ones held over?

I'm gonna call in sick tomorrow, I'm sure my boss will understand as he'll be playing the game too (at the same computer as me )

I have to take my vehicle in for repairs...so...

I have to get my car into the dealer by 7:30am, leaving home at 6:45am PST. It is my understanding that the game should be available for download by 5-6 PST!! That means I can take it with (on my laptop) me to the dealer!! Awesome. Oh and i meant Thursday.

I'm not sure about others, but where I work, I get 3 weeks of sick leave a year (Gotta love working for the state). And it does roll over for me. I have somewhere between 6-7 weeks of sick leave saved up.

Back to topic, if the DL time is 9-10 EST, well, I get off at 8, so, thats perfect for me. BUT, if it's 1 AM, well, my work might be seeing a conversation not too unlike this:

Me: "Hey boss, I think I am having vision problems."
Boss: "Really? I am sorry to hear that. What's wrong exactly?"
Me: "I just can't see myself coming in."

Good times ahead

Yeah, but we get at least 4 weeks vacation here in the EU. Some workers now get up to 6 weeks.

How many seasons of OOTP can I run through in 6 weeks?

I get the standard 13 holidays plus 4 floater holidays (after or before the actual holiday but can be used at other dates), 28 vacation days and 6 sick days.

Sick days don't roll over and can not be cashed in, my vacation days don't roll over but I get $360 a day if I cash them in during the month of December with a max of $5400 allowed cashed in. Floater days must be used during the month of the holiday and Holidays I either get the day off with pay or I get 2.5 times standard pay to work the day with permission.

My contract calls for 51 days a year off with pay out of the standard 260 day work year. One bad thing though is that I do not get overtime and my standard day is 9 hours long with 8 hours pay scheduled...... I thought this was pretty standard except that the damn French only seem to work 30-35 hours a week.....lazy bas---- nevermind....

Before anyone says that this seems like alot of offtime I would like to state that last year I put in 2480 hours during the year (2080 is standard) so 400 hours extra with no extra pay and 400/8 = 50 days. And I am also on call 24/7....

I think that this is pretty much standard for most of the world - at least all my contracts have called for similar times off.....

Actually 2080 is standard for paid hours, but that includes vacation and holiday hours that aren't actually worked.

I'm jealous, BTW. I get 7 holidays, 2 weeks of vacation, and no sick days or floating holidays. When they shut down for a 4 day weekend for Thanksgiving, I get paid for Thursday but not Friday.

And that's actually an above average package for a blue collar job in TN. A bit below average on holidays (most seem to get 9 or 10), but twice as much vacation as most.
