Arguing Calls-Revisited
Last year, there was much discussion about whether or not arguing calls resulted in anything other than the possibility of getting thrown out of the game....In OOTP5, I have noticed an increase in the ability to argue calls...I had as many as five opportunities in one game, three in the same inning....so has it ever been determined that there is some benefit to argue calls or not?...I also noticed that there is more commentary along the lines that the Ump may have missed this or that call....I'm wondering if there is a connection between arguing calls and the Ump's decisions in close calls.......

Not sure. I usually only find myself arguing calls when my hitter gets thrown out of the game for arguing a strike three call.

I only argue when I'm getting shelled and want to get tossed

Believe it or not, but I have a feeling that it gives you the possibility of slightly giving your team the momentum. I was losing 5-2, got thrown out in the 7th, and then in the 9th my team rallied for 2 runs, and had a runner on 2nd before losing. Of course, it wouldn't happen everytime, or else I'd just throw myself out every game.

SimSport, maybe the computer is just a better manager than you. I always pick no eventhough sometimes i want to argue, i hate losing control of my team.
