NHL Trade Deadline 3pm tommorow

Gary Roberts has been trade to the Pens for Naoh Welch just waiting for him to sign the papers so his no Trade Clause can be wavied. But he only wants to play for Maple Leafs or Senators and wants a one year contract extension then he would wavie his no Trade Clause.
TSN.CA has the best coverage of the NHL Trade Deadline start at 10am East Coast time with it's reports of Trade that are happening or are go to be happening.
Martin Biron for Ryan Malone has been rumored. Martin Biron could also be going to the Lighting.

I know, I almost forgot about the trade deadline. We need one for basketball too.

mgom, you should really start a "Ask mgom sports questions" thread. It would be the biggest thread in OOTP history

Aaron Miller might be Traded. Rumor Rob Blake for Nabkov the Goaile on the Sharks. Sopel back to the Canucks for Draft Picks.
How do you guys like that 3 team trade?

McKenzie is saying it's for one draft pick... anything between 1st and 3rd round.

Just be glad it's the day before spring training games start. Once baseball gets underway, hockey, what's that?

Not sure what to think about the Pens trade. They had an abundance of wingers as is, and now they add Roberts to the mix. It'll be interesting to see if they now trade some of their younger wingers for an established stay at home defenseman.

Because I'm an absolute genious when it comes to the powers of deduction, I think that a pick between the 1st and 3rd round would be a 2nd rounder.

Thank you.

I doubt they'll move anyone out... getting Roberts and Laraque filled holes that the Penguins felt they had. Both the guys add tougness, Laraque can protect Crosby (something Crosby and his people have been asking for all year), and Roberts brings his playoff leadership.

I really like the Penguins deals, I love San Jose getting Gurien... they're the team to beat now, unless Anaheim pulls off a deal before the deadline.

Bill Guerin to the Sharks for 2007 1st Round Draft Pick and Futures.
Brian Boucher claimed off Waviers by the Blue Jackets.

I was stoked to see the Canucks get Smolinski and Sopel yesterday. Today I'm curious where Bertuzzi will end up, but that's about it. It doesn't sound like any other real impact players are up for grabs. Guerin maybe, but I don't think he's that good anymore (EDIT: Hah! And there he goes right as I was typing).

You gotta hand it to the NHL.. they seem to almost always have a few interesting trades at the deadline. Not like the NBA. Even when they were talking about all that Kidd and Carter stuff you knew next to nothing was going to go down. If they say Forsberg, Tkachuk, Roberts and Bertuzzi are all likely to be traded, though, you know it's probably going to happen along with a whole slew of others.
