Question: ML Historical Records

In my current league I have played 10 seasons. I can't seem to find where the league historical records are located. For example, where does it show me that player John Batter holds the all-time single season homerun record at 62 set in 2004, and that Harry Pitcher holds the all-time single season wins record at 32 set in 2006. Whenever I try to find such historical single season and/or career statistics all that I see are the stats for the current year being played.

Am I missing something? Can anyone help? Or is this something OOTPB 2006 doesn't feature? If not, it should.

Thanks,
rocketeer928

It's all in your league history section.

Check out the Leaderboards section of League History.

One thing I wish 2006 would have carried forward from 6.5 was team and game records. Sadly, those are not there. The best you can get is season and career leaders.

I believe this statement is only partially true. The game records are indeed gone but you can access team records in more detail than V6.5 by clicking on your team in the league history section. You can also access this by clicking on the history tab while in your team section. Click on team history and you will get your team breakdown by season. At the top you will see four sections that are full of your team's history:

Draft = A list of your team's draft picks from the beginning of the league
Starters = A list of the players that played the most games at each position for your team by season
Register = A list of every player that ever played for your team and his stats just for your team
Leaders = The statistical leaders for just your team. This includes team single season records and team career records.

Heh, of all people I'd think that you'd share in my utter disgust for all things Bostonian (well, at least Boston baseball). Times they are a changin'. . . .

Oh, so what you're saying is that if you're a baseball fan then you have to like the Red Sox? If that's not what you're saying then what the hell is it? I'm a Yankee fan. I'm a baseball fan. I hate the Red Sox, and generally Yankees fans do as well. Sure, it's not a requirement, but for me it's something that I've come to expect.

I'm not a baseball fan; I'm a Mets fan, and I have a lot of sympathy for poor, downtrodden Boston.

Baseball fans don't hate any teams, they just esteem them differently. They may hate particular players, managers or executives, though.

I've decided to stay away from anything you post in the future. Too bad, because I'm also a Foreman fan.

No, no, no. Your image of what a baseball fan should be doesn't hate any teams, but you're just one man (and in the vast minority, I might add). I've been a baseball fan since I was a small boy and I darn-well can decide whom or what I like or dislike, love or hate. Of course, I did by chance happen to lose my Baseball Fan's Handbook back in '85, so maybe I'm out of the loop. Though I do find it partially amusing that you think that you can dictate who is a fan or not. And it pleases me to hear that you'll no longer read my posts -- actually, it would have pleased me even further had you not replied to my post (that wasn't even directed at you, but 1998Yankees, and was in good, clean fun anyway) in the first place. Cheers!

P.S. The Mets reak of yesterday's rubbish

Well, before this thread goes to OT land, I should clarify this.

Curtis, thanks. You got this right except for the order. I am a Baseball fan first, then a Yankees fan, because without Baseball there would be no Yankees.

Yes, I root for the Yankees to win. Always have, always will. However, I do not "hate" any other teams. That is not necessary and there is too much of it in sports today, let alone in our society and culture. I feel a more intense rivalry with some teams, like the Red Sox for the division title and the Mets for the "best in New York" label. That's all.

There's no reason for you and ForemanFan to be at odds. He was just responding to my tweak that was, using his words, "good, clean fun." You can stop reading his posts, but I'll continue to read his and yours because you both usually have interesting things to say.

Good man, good man. Sorry to have brought the thread off topic. I'll let it return to normalcy. But before I depart, here's one last jab-a-roo!

Actually, I was more upset by the news of Dennis Rodman's reality TV show on that page than Schilling's announcement.

Haha, well, it's better than him coming back to play ball in the NBA (which would be about as strange as his current reality show).
