Well it's all over for V.Varen Nagasaki after they lost 7-6 on penalties to TDK Akita in matchday 2 of the JFL playoffs.
I believe FC Gifu beat Fagiano Okayama 2-0, although that's based solely on the pictures on their website as I don't understand Japanese.

I said the corporate team is bound to go up. for V.Varen.

As far as gameplay, nothing. But the title, release dates and patches are different. I guess they are afraid of piracy.

Bad luck. See, you are a fan after all.

Now drown your sorrow with some hot sake..it should be delicious on a cold night with a little sushi.

Thanks, but I've actually got it slightly wrong. In fact V.Varen aren't quite eliminated yet.

Here's how the table looks:
Code:
Final Group	P	W	SW	SL	L	F	A	Pts
TDK Akita	2	1	1	0	0	1	0	5
FC Gifu 2	1	0	0	1	2	1	3
Fagiano Okayama	2	1	0	0	1	3	3	3
V.Varen Nagasaki2	0	0	1	1	1	3	1
So if they beat FC Gifu - which doesn't look too likely on the past two games - and TDK beat Fagiano in regulation time they will finish 2nd and go into the playoff.

Sdpm,

I just bought FM2007. Can you recommend a set up for me? I want to run a team in L1 or 2 in England and take them up. Pick a team for me, please.

Well I haven't bought it, so I can't help you with the first. You'll have to wait for someone else who has.
As for the second part, well it all depends what you want. Maybe try and revive the former European champions, Nottingham Forest, or maybe take control of a club that has just returned to the Football League after bankruptcy and years in the wilderness, Accrington Stanley.

Are you familiar with Bedford? That's where my family is from. Do you know of any teams that play near there?

No, I never been to Bedford. I think the nearest clubs are going to be Luton Town and Milton Keynes Dons.

EDIT - I forgot you mentioned League One or Two, then it will be Milton Keynes.
Bedford Town play in Conference South.

I feel I must apologise to UKHS for Wigan’s result today. Fantasy league wise I was without a keeper, and I plumped for Kirkland out of the couple of options available. My injury crisis and lack of Chelsea fixtures this week then left me with a tough choice of captain, and in the end I took Kirkland over McCarthy on the basis of Liverpool’s impotent away record...

That is pretty much on the mark. It varies radically from club to club, but semi-pro sides generally report back even earlier than professional clubs. It makes sense when you think about it as they only have a couple of nights to train so there isn’t much scope for fitness work. Moreover the overwhelming majority of semi-pro clubs start with an effective clean slate each season. Most clubs go away for the summer with just a player or three secured for the next season and the early return is vital to see who wants to come back, what talent comes to trials etc as the managers embark on the mad stampede to get the best players registered for the season ahead.

I’d dispute this argument. It is totally true on paper, but United have been playing incredibly narrow anyway for the last eighteen months or so. Count the occasions when the likes of Giggs or Ronaldo actually venture wider than the penalty area in the final third... they spend the overwhelming majority of the time tucked inside. What width United have these days comes from the fullbacks, and I’d actually argue Rooney and Saha provide as much width when working the channels as the ‘wingers’ do. Ronaldo would be an ideal man to play upfront in this system, essentially replicating his role used throughout much of his international career.

Larsson is a daft signing imo. United either need a striker or they don’t. If Larsson proves a great benefit where does it leave them after the first week of March? If they had him until the end of the season it would be a good capture, but seventy odd days is just plain bizarre.

Great news at Bromley this afternoon. Our chairman has managed to buyback our ground A previous owner had sold it from under us some time ago, and of course this left us with the typical uncertain long term future every time the lease was nearing an end. Now all that can be forgotten as the freehold is back in Bromley hands. On the pitch we improved as well, just managing to clinch three points in a tricky away fixture by virtue of a penalty to record a 1-0 win.

MK Dons were changed in the recent patch.
Their finances were adjusted to mirror reality and now all of their players have their picture in the game.

Should be a fun side to manage.

I would add in all of Englands leagues plus leagues in Scotland down to the second divsion
I would add the welsh premier divisios, irish premier division and NI premier division
It is up to you to add some western european leagues, but I would add a few to have markets to buy and sell players and maybe take over other coaching jobs.

I would also load the Brazillian and Argentine first divisions since that will load several thousand south american players for you.

I do not know how good your PC is, but FM07 is faster at simming so you can add alot of leagues and still get decent sim times.

With the exception of Brazil and Argentina top leagues, this is pretty much what I've done. Top two from Spain, France, Italy, and Germany and all of England. I'm pretty impressed with the sim times. I bought FM06, though I hardly played it due to a time crisis, and I eventually had to end up just playing England League 2 and above because of the strain it put on my computer. The above set up is faster than that on 07. I like 07 all the way around a lot better. Still checking out the bells and whistles...

Falls has mentioned Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Northern Ireland who provide most players to the English leagues not counting England of course but other countries you may want to add as they also provide an high ammount of players to England are - France, Australia, Jamaica, Nigeria, Denmark, Spain, Holland, Portugal, USA, Sweden, Canada, Poland, Trinidad and Hungary all provide at least 15 players to the English leagues.

I honestly don't see it as daft signing, with Smith and Solksjaer still injured Ferguson brings in a top quality striker for a few months until both Smith and Solksjaer comeback also while Larsson is playing he can rest Saha and Rooney. Better imo to bring in a proven scorer rather than risk £20 million on an unproven striker in an important part of the season.
