I'm officially rooting for the Tigers. God knows if the Cardinals somehow win the NLCS, I expect another 4 game sweep

Remember in the 90's (or was it late 80's) when they rioted after the Pistons won the Championships?

I thought GF was being sarcastic, but it looked classy to me. I don't know who he was giving a thumbs up to or for what, but I thought he was saying good job to the Tigers.

Did Ilitch have a stroke or something? He doesn't at all look like the Ilitch I remember from the early Red Wing championship years.

Congratulations to Oakland on a great year. That was one heck of a game!
I was a little disappointed in Thomas. While I wanted a Detroit win, I would have loved seeing him be a factor for Oakland.

On another note, I have not seen much of Chavez' play over the years. Very impressive in the field.

Great job Detroit, that a way to represent the Central. Next year it's out turn.

I wish I had seen Bradley's thumbs up. He's such a good player, with a lot of heart. It'd be nice to see him do something classy rather than stupid. Maybe there's hope.

That was an entertaining series. I figured out that the Tigers were a team of destiny in Game 2. I expected them to win today's game. I told my wife that Magglio was going to hit a HR to end the game, and during the AB I had to get up to break up a commotion in my daughter's room. Halfway down the hall, my wife started shrieking.
I figured that either her water broke or Ordonez had homered. Thankfully, she recorded the last bit of the game for me. I expect the Tigers to win in 5 games against whoever from the NL. |

I think there is a chance that he gets press he does not deserve, or perhaps he's matured. I think that was about a classy thing as possible. |

Half of the things he did in LA weren't that bad/weren't his fault, either. The guy might be a little unstable, but I really don't think he's a bad guy. And he's apparently in a very good environment right now. |
