But how can they possibly matchup with Chelsea or Arsenal without top-flight players?

I wish you would restart the Barrow thread loading players and coaches from at least the 5 FAs on the home islands. It will give you a chance atleast to make it to league football.

You'll be able to read UKHS's dynasty when he starts it. I'm sure it will be a much better read than anything I did.

WTF?

That was one thing that everyone agreed upon: We ALL loved the writing. I know the anxiety and tension of fighting relegation can be tough on certain ailments though.

Most important thing is a good manager second to that is a good and deep squad that was Wigan's downfall last year we didn't have a deep enough squad, at times last season they fielded a team without a recognised forward, off the top of my head think it was against Liverpool they actually played with no recognised forward on the field or on the bench and the bench consisted of mostly defenders.

I'm glad you did tell me, as just like I said that game was an MLB International showing. Although the NLCS is the FOX presentation. So why NASN are showing the one and not the other from FOX is odd.

Oh, and can I say how much I love that HP umpire in the NLCS game last night (don't know his name, sorry), because when he calls strikes he sounds like a hooter. Indeed when I first heard him, I thought it was an experimental system and an actual hooter was being used.

EDIT - according to the box score it is Jim Joyce. I find him hilarious. I realise it is slightly weird as well though.

To keep the thread on track, and away from my weirdness, an update on Copa America participation.

Mexico accept invitation, and the other invited team are...

Quote:
MEXICO CITY, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- The Mexican Football Federation told Friday's media that it had accepted an invitation to play in the 2007 Copa America, due to run from June 26 to July 15 in Venezuela.

The South American Football Federation sent an official invitation signed by its president, Nicolas Leoz, and its general secretary, Eduardo de Luca, formally ratifying its invitation to Mexico.

Mexico will send representative to the Nov. 28 drawing of lots in Venezuela.

Conmebol has also invited the United States to take part in the 2007 competition.

Sorry for ranting.
Im surprised theyre even showing the playoffs over there...and if Five US actually broadcasts in the US I doubt theyd be allowed to show it on there. I can potentially help you out with the online version of the feed though...I probably wont know till next week.

while I dont disagree with your general statement, I wouldnt liken an EPL field condition to an NFL field condition as the ball only has to touch the ground when being hiked and when being spotted for a field goal. Completely different species.

Barrow are through to the final qualifying round of the FA Cup after beating lowly Durham City 1-0. Pathetic performance yet again.

No, it's only in the UK. They have the rights to it though as they show it on the main channel (they are showing NFL, NBA, NASCAR, X-Games highlights).

Is that any different to usual?

I thought it might be the Ice Bowl, but as it was so long ago, I thought it may have been something I missed more recently (like the Copa America in 2004, which was shown on Sky Sports and I totally missed it ).
