A critical, critical, at bat for the Cards...

...and it belongs to Scott Spiezio. :dubious:

Hehehe. That was a great play by Green. I don't know if he tried to just block it back into play or if he was just flinging out his glove out there hoping for the best, but either way, I thought it was a great play.

Willie's used Heilman against lefties all year, and he leaves him sitting in the pen with Edmonds and Spiezio.

Bad move. Willie's a bit too in love with Mota, I fear.

Cards have had some quality at bats all night. Lots of fighting off tough pitches. That was an excellent AB for Taguchi.

Spiezio. Beautiful. Two run padding.

The Mets relievers have thrown a ton of pitches tonight. This may well affect them over the next two days, when their two worst pitchers pitch.

I was playing WoW, and got my Giantstalkers leggings. Pretty sweet, for a Molten Core run.

Oh...props to Glavine last night, and shame on Poohols....not a good thing for him to say.

Cards have done what the Mets have done all year...get down, come back, get down, come back.

Be prepared for a Wagner lynching in the NY media tomorrow.

How big has Spezio been tonight?

This'll be a nice win should they hold on.

Perception of this series changes very quickly if the Cards can win tomorrow. Asking Oliver Perez, even if he's facing an unproven rookie, to keep you from going down 3-1 is asking a lot.

Trachsel will either be outstanding or terrible...the man knows no middle ground.

Tracshel, when he was with the Cubs, always played the Cardinals tough.

Him and Jooooody Davis, used to kill us. Jeezus, it seemed that Jody was ALWAYS bombing a three run shot in the seventh inning.
