Why is neifi batting second? Have you seen the rest of the cubs squad and/or dusty bakers fetish with mediocre players?

Why is Neifi on a team? See answer to first question

Also, the Cubs get another player that "helps" the team lose: -12.3 VORP Tony Womack. The Cubs have so many players that are either below or around replacement player value that it's not even funny anymore. To the Cubs '07 Baker-less season:

Who woulda thunk it: the Cubs losing with an OF that includes Murton - Pierre - Jones. Better luck next season Cubbies!
The answer to both of your questions is that Baker is a moron. However, apparently he has a two year extension and they are just waiting for a three game winning streak or whatever to announce it. Once again, I'm an A's fan for the duration of the season.

I can't even believe they lost that game yesterday.. I work nights so I had to finally go to bed when they had a comfy 5-2 lead.. Was shocked to see they choked it off at the end.

I keep on hearing this about Baker, and I keep on wishing I was dead.

WHY THE **** DOES HE GET AN EXTENSION!?!?!?!

**** **** ****. ****ity **** ****.

GAHHHHH

This is getting bad. I was sitting in a bar talking to a girl the other day (well pretending to listen while watching the ticker scroll on the TV over her shoulder), and saw the Cubs score and I started cursing uncontrollably.

Dusty Baker is cock blocking me and now he's getting an extension!?!?!? Bull****.

Phil Nevin, huh? Geez, I know the pickings are slim out there right now but, Phil Nevin?!?!?

Eeesh, I looked at this guys line from the last 3 seasons...combined. It's not pretty. Not sure what they're expecting from this guy.

On the other hand, Jacque Jones hit .330 in May.

The team has hit well so far today, guess who's not hitting? Yah, Pierre, as usual, and of course that mother****** who for some reason keeps getting to bat second, Neifi Perez. I thought maybe we got Nevin so he can play everyday first base and move Walker over to second everyday leaving Neifi to come in the game once every 5 games. But, noooo.

Oh, and now Jacque Jones is actually our best hitter so far this year...and he's batting in the seven spot. Genius. Pure Genius!

****. one more game and it'll be the three game winning streak they have been waiting for to announce Baker's extension.

I'm confused now. Do I want them to lose tomorow to postpone the inevitable extension announcement? Or do I want them to beat those ****ing Cardinals because there's nothing better than making people from mizzou feel even worse about their lots in life.

Either way, I hate Dusty Baker.

Like you say, it's inevitable. May as well root for your team.

When Z is on... Z is ON!

Turn it on if you don't already. 8th inning, 8-0. I won't state anything else though, but turn it on.

Another solid draft by the Cubbies.

First round pick-someone who had a hot month and projects to be a banjo-hitting weak armed centerfielder.

Next pick, in the fifth round, someone who will never ever suit up even in rookie ball.

Solid, solid draft.

All right. The Cubs win 3 out of 4 against the Reds when it very well could've been a sweep had we not had f***in' Rusch pitching in one of the games.

With Marmol looking impressive in his few showings so far this year, we have our replacement for Wood as it seems like he's finished.. lol *sigh*

With Prior coming back we can finally move Rusch to the waivers where no one will claim him I would think.

Just a quick note for the Cub fans concerning Gary Matthews Jr. I know he never amounted with the Cubs, but I was a big fan of his father's and hoped he would succeed. It looks like he may have finally figured things out. Check out the line he is putting up leading off for the Rangers. link

I wish we had him right now.

I hear what you're saying, but let's not get completely carried away. In the case of Sarge Jr, he's been gone for 5 seasons, and is only now "getting it."

In the case of Patterson, I think it is pretty clear that he refused to change his game with the Cubs. He said that repeatedly. Now, if you want to fault the Cubs coaching staff for being unable to get him to change, that is a fair point. But I think at least part of the blame rests on Patterson's own stubbornness.

I want to blame Dusty Baker for everything bad that has happened in my life ever.

My god, I hate him so. And neifi perez.

I get to see the cubbies 3 times next week at the Metrodump. Some signs I'm making:

Trade Neifi

Ooh. Nice Marmot(strikethrough) Marmol.

Clearly, I'm short of ideas.
