It wouldn't have happened. They would have pinch hit for him...

Anyways, good win. Character builder for sure. Your starter pitches a good game, bullpen blows it, you take the lead back.

2.5 out of first.
Yeah, it's the kind of game they would have lost a year ago.

Toronto is 6-3 against Boston so far.

I guess you're right although the broadcasters made a big deal out of it.

Does anyone know the last time an AL pitcher hit in a non-interleague game, if ever?

Vernon Wells blasts 3 homers! Glaus hits 2 of em, Chacin goes 5 and picks up the win. BJ Ryan picks up his 12th save.

.......and the rest of the bullpen gives us a heart attack.... aggh!!

Whew, let's go for the sweep tomorrow though i'm sure the Jays will make the minor leaguer starting for Boston look like the next Clemens.

Wells & Glaus now have each had four multi-homer games this season. Best in baseball.

I'm disappointed it won't be Boomer on the mound tonight. He's usually been quite awful against the Jays. With the rookie pitching, who knows what to expect.

Jays take two of three from the Devil Rays. How long will it take for us to finally sweep a team?

We spoiled a 4-0 lead today and lost 10-5.

Not to rag too much on the Jays catchers, as they have been hitting, but when was the last time they actually threw out a runner that was attempting to steal?

Zaun's around 40%. Molina is the worst in baseball. There's no reason Molina should be getting the majority of starts...

Huh, I thought Molina had the reputation of being good at throwing out runners. Zaun was lousy last year. Weird.

The Jays picked Travis Snider (OF) with their first pick in today's draft ... a high schooler from Everett, Washington.

It's a start, but in fairness for a high schooler he's pretty advanced already. He's not really a "toolsy" kid.

Jays win today, 6-4.

Rios sets a new career-high in homeruns, matching his total output from the previous two seasons.

Ryan comes in to face his former team and shuts them down 1-2-3.

Wow, what a horrific baserunning mistake by Mora. Even if he scores it means absolutely nothing, but instead he gets thrown out for the 3rd out of the game.

Another win, and we look for the series victory tomorrow with Halladay on the mound.

Nah, that would mean we could sweep a team. That isn't going to happen.

edit: Never mind, forgot about Monday's game. Go Halladay!
