Man, the Canes don't seem to be getting much love.

Just for that, I'll be posting plenty of 'behind the scenes' pictures from games 1 and 2 in this thread...

Hey, I predicted an Oilers win, what else do you want from the human version of a compass that points South?

There it is, the first period. Not a bad game, even though players look a little giddy at times. Brindy came within an inch or so of scoring when down two men, and Pronger had less ice time than Roloson -- even if only slightly.

And now Roloson limps off the ice, taking Edmonton's cup chances with him.

The Canes are an abomination. I'd really like the Oilers to win the Cup.

But I am rooting for my (former) Wild player ROLOSON!

Hope hes okay, for the series' sake

Sheesh... I just saw a replay of the winning goal. I originally thought it was a bonehead move by Conklin. But bonehead doesn't even begin to describe it. There's nobody along the boards to his left, and Pronger is even pointing that direction and starts to head that way. And then Conklin decides to give it to Smith who's awkwardly facing his back and would be instantly harassed by Brind'Amour even in the best-case scenario.

Staios and Bergeron looked like boneheads on the 4th goal as well.

Roloson won't be back this spring, says ESPN.

I'd like to take the opportunity to congratulate the Carolina Hurricanes for their first-ever Stanley Cup win. The slightly bitter side of me can't help but wonder how they would've fared against a Sabres team that hadn't lost 67% of its regular defensive corps, or an Oilers team with a real goalie, but the guys who are healthy, play, those who aren't, sit among the audience and wonder what might have been.

Yikes, Bergeron must feel pretty bad!

Yeah. This game still might have gone to the OT, if Horcoff didn't have such an uncanny knack at finding Ward's glove when he's got lots of empty net in front of him.
