Reseting a League

Does OOTP 2006 clear out the history on the player card if you reset the league.

On ootp 6.5, if you try to reset the league, the player history will not be clear on the player card.

I'm not even sure OOTPB has a "reset league" option. What exactly does that mean? (I'm not being sarcastic, I really don't know... )

Its where you can reset stats and restart the league over again for that year.

It was in league setup on ootp 6.5

But the problem with it, it never clear the player history on that player card for that season if you use it.

I don't know of such an option in v2006, but I would really like one. Anyone know if this exists or will be added?

In previous versions it was in League Setup. You had the option to Reset which would simply blank out any stats you have accumulated that season and put that league back to the preseason. There was also the Reset>Release>Draft option which would do the same thing except it would also hold a dispersal draft.

In either case it wouldn't clear out the player#.txt files (player history on the card).

JB: As far as the 2006 version...unless its in some place I haven't thought of there isn't a Reset button.

I haven't tried it myself, but maybe someone else can and report back:

game menu -> game setup -> lg setup -> fin'l functions (why it's there don't ask me) -> Release all...

It's a pretty useless feature that just makes all the players free agents. Without the option to delete them all or hold another draft it's pretty pointless.

Yeah, I'd like to do this. I'm running a historical MLB league and during the first season of 1901, it appears players are starting with their real life season stats accumulated already. In other words, I'm on opening day and Ed Delahanty has 8 home runs, 108 RBIs, and a .354 average. I need to wipe that clean.
