Alexander Ovechkin's "Dream On" clip

This has been circulated alot, so apologies if it ain't new to you, but what's most amazing about this highlight reel of Alexander Ovechkin (put to "Dream On" by Aerosmith) is not the actual amazing skill itself, but the fact that there's four minutes worth of All Time Career Great highlights in an NHL career that isn't even one season long.

He's the most spectacular guy in the league, by far.
It's a pity he plays in a team that would get slammed by the Swiss Olympic team.

But if he continues to hit people like he's doing now, he's gonna end up in the hospital, either injuring himself or being viciously hit by a Ulf Samuelsson kind of guy.

Yeah, he sure is something isn't he. I hate to say it, but by the end of his career I think we might be actually calling him the greatest ever. It's not just that he's a great scorer, it's his determination that I love. Most scorers and playmakers will avoid a hit whenever they can, Alexander won't. He'll often make you look like a fool with a great move, but he'll just as often it seems bull right through you to get that goal. That's the kind of hockey I know and love.

The goal he scored on his back against Phoenix is maybe the best goal I've ever seen. It'll be fun to watch how he and Crosby progress as the years go by.

Ovechkin is probably going to win the Calder this year... but Crosby is two years younger than A.O.... i'm guessing Crosby will have a more productive career but i'd rather pay to see Ovechkin than Crosby.

No chance to have that kind of player in Montreal... and I was thinking Mike Ribeiro was exciting...

I wish he played for a team that was worth watching.

IMO we are best off abandoning that sinking ship that is Off Topic to the rats infesting it and just starting a whole new Baseball Forum from scratch.

I know. That's why I said, "I hate to say it". It is too early and I'm afraid that might jinx him. But damn, it's hard not to think it! Those who say his style will be his downfall will probably end up right, but I sure hope they won't be.

A note to remember: Ovechkin has 1 more point currently than fellow Russian LW Ilya Kovalchuk. I'd say Ovechkin is a far more complete player....he's younger, so you figure his best years are ahead of him....Chew on those facts for moment.

The guy that is, in my opinion, turning Hockey into something people want to watch. I used to hate Hockey and never want to watch it but now I find myself waiting for clips on SC every night and actually watching the games on tv. Hell, I've even went and watched the Portland Winterhawks games a few times now. The game is actually really exciting.

That kid is ****ing amazing. I'm gonna have to try to catch some Capitals games now if they're ever on ESPN, which they probably won't be.
