Wow Jestor. Good to see that your vacation for flying off the handle the last time did you no good. Maybe anothervacation is in order to make sure you get the point.

Look, sometimes taking the polite road doesn't work.

When it doesn't, then more aggressive measures need to be taken.

Will he remember better now how to properly post threads and rebump?

I'm guessing yes.

Mission accomplished.

No need to jump on me for doing something that works.

Or maybe, your little childish tirade will cause less people who actually have legitimate problems, from posting because someone wants to act high and might on an INTERNET MESSAGE BOARD. Like AA said. If you didn't have anything constructive to add, then don't add it. Your post does nothing but show how childish you are.

It *is* constructive if it accomplishes its intended purpose, which it did.

I don't think it will cause less people to post. After all, looking at the other threads, they would see my response was an anamoly at the very least, and hopefully some of the more perceptive of them would see that it was situation-specific.

What was it's intended purpose, to drive off customers? If that's the case, please PM a way I can drive you off so I don't have to worry about having to sort through the crap you post.

No. It was to get through the original poster's head the proper etiquette for thread-starting and bumping, since being nice about it hadn't worked before.

It seems he's gotten the message now.

And there's a very easy way not to "have to sort through the crap" I post.

It's called the Ignore feature.

No, because people will quote you and I'd still have to read it.

Well, attaining 100% is nearly impossible.

Just remember these basics:

One thread per question.

If it slides down to page 2 or if 3 or 4 days have gone by and you don't have an answer yet, then bump it with "bump"

Got it?

Good.

Have a nice day.
The irony runs thick here. You cuss a guy out (literally) because he wasn't patient enough to wait a while, but you don't have the patience to tell him nicely what he's done wrong.

It was tried nicely in another thread he posted and he didn't seem to be getting it.

Yeah, we already know your feelings about being nice, but Jesus, are you mentoring under Mal? Will you be taking up the reigns as board antagonist and n00b-hater when he retires?

Take your own advice here, if you don't like the fact that a customer of the game poses a question that he's unsure of, put him on ignore. Tirades around here aren't welcome and they aren't necessary. If you like posting here and if you want to continue posting here, may I suggest you lighten up.

Because I can guarantee you'll find yourself taking a vacation from this place - one that is imposed on you rather than one that is of your own choice.

The mods love me and I'll be the first to complain to them about members that are berating new customers. If you think your angry posts are truly positive, then keep it up and you'll find yourself unable to log in "for some reason."

No, I'm not a n00b hater. The rest of this I'll address later. Work calls.

Well, if there is any justice, you won't be able to.

Here, thanks to the wonders of copy and paste, is the message I sent to the mods when reporting Jestor's post:

"I generally prefer not to complain about posts/posters, but if I've ever seen a post that merits action, it's this one. Not only is it rude and abusive, but it attacks a new player who's asking a legitimate on-topic (thus ensuring that he won't come here for answers in the future). IMO, this harms OOTPD more directly than anything I've ever seen in OT or TS. Given that it comes from a poster who's been banned in the past for abusive behavior... well, it's your call, but this is orders of magnitude worse than anything Fitterer ever did.

I'd also like to see the rah-rah post by Malleus supporting the abusiveness addressed, although I don't expect to see it happen."
