Question............

Can a player get injured for the season when they are not even in the game? Like warming up? If so wouldnt it say that on game notes? Note this is for an online league.

Okay, word of advice:

Don't start two threads asking about the same question 20 minutes apart.

It makes people a lot less inclined to answer.

It's people like you who make me... ugh, I'm not going to go into it.

Just remember these basics:

One thread per question.

If it slides down to page 2 or if 3 or 4 days have gone by and you don't have an answer yet, then bump it with "bump"

Got it?

Good.

Have a nice day.

And some people on this board wonder why some of us think of this board as being unfriendly

To at least partially answer the original question -

I've never seen a player who didn't play suffer a serious injury. I have seen, however, a couple of players get those 2-day dings on their health while on the bench. I'm sorry this can't be a 100% certain response, but at least it comes from plenty of experience.

As has been already mentioned, while you may have to wait a few days, questions on this board will invariably get answered even if it's with an "I don't know" response.

There is an injury file out there that you can download and put into use if you want strange injuries to occur, even when not playing. Car accidents and the like. Maybe you can download it at the OOTP downloads center. Not sure. One of the guys in my league sent it to me.

...but I don't use it in my online league. Just with some experimental solo leagues.

Don't let an impolite response gets you down.

My experience on this forum is that if one is patient and courteous, you will be treated that way by 99% of the members.

I have found that it is ok to "bump" a thread, if you get no response or do not get an answer, when it gets close to being put on the second page...I have never waited three or four days to get answer...and never been attacked for doing it. You will never get an answer, if it drops to the "dismal abysmal abyss"---my name for the second page.

I have also found that it is best to post a technical question on the "tech support" forum first and also here. More people are active on this Discussions Forum and you are more likely to get an answer or response.

I tore my rotator cuff while not playing the game - I was throwing a ball to my dog and suddenly OUCH. A TRC is a repetitive stress injury that occurs at a certain point of muscular overuse. You can have the trigger event occur in BP, fielding practice...or even while playing with your dog.

So are you endorsing Jestor's piss-poor behavior, or is this a form of sarcasm?

Eh, he wasn't getting it when people were trying to politely point it out.

And when that happens, sometimes it's best to flip out on them.

Then they tend to remember.

Actually, the best thing to do when you want to type out an angry response like you did, is to not hit the "Submit Reply" button after you type it out.

If you can't say something positive, it's best to say nothing at all.
