Ok, that seems to be the problem, how do I fix this? And why does this happen with this roster pack and not the fictional one?

I don't know if this is a problem with these rosters, but I have a Blue Jays dynasty going and every time I click on Alex Rios or drag him somehwere (trading block), the game crashes. I'm playing on a mac, can anyone help me out with this?

buckets-
There are a few faces in the roster set, and these have caused crashes for Mac users when the faces update. It may be that Rios has a FaceGen pic in the set, and if so, disabling FaceGen from OOTP preferences (or setting them to update on Jan 1st, and not 'Always if Needed' from Game Setup --> Player and Picture Options) shoud help. If that's not the reason, I'm not sure what it might be. |

Anyways, I left everything as is with the set except for: input correct park factors adjust AI evaluation to place slightly more emphasis on statistics rather than ratings (if you want the settings I can provide them, nothing earth shattering though). I set cash max to 15M (was 5M) and edited each team up to 15M cash I turned waivers off The big thing I adjusted though is the actual ratings of a lot of lower level MiLB players. I love Cubby's work and have enjoyed his sets over the last few years but the big issue has always been the too-rapid development of young players. What I did was go through each team and reduce the actual ratings of the guys that were supposed to be in the lower levels while leaving their POT ratings alone. It wasn't terribly scientific though. For instance if some guy was on the real Tigers short season team but appeared in the game on the Tigers AA team with ACT rating in the 30s, I knocked all his ACT ratings down to levels more appropriate for the level he was supposed to be in. It took me about 3-4 hours to do this and the only difficult part was doing the hitters. There are two components to the CON number: BABIP and a contact factor. Oftentimes the BABIP was super high, say around 200, while the contact or strikeout factor was as low as 1. Again, I didn't use any kind of prospect guide to drive these guys down, I just reduced there ACT ratings to what I felt were appropriate levels. Right now, I'm 135 games into the 2007 season, I don't have any huge statistical oddities occurring and the league has not been flooded with young players, forcing older players out. However, I don't know how the 2008 season and beyond will shake out as far as development goes. I play each game out and weekly reviews of my farm system have shown that the advancement rates of players in my MiLB system seem reasonable. |

Melo, when you decreased the ratings of those prospects how exactly did you go about figuring out which players' ratings needed to be lower?
I know a good amount about the MLB but I don't really know any of the guys in the minors except for the really top notch guys who have already been called up. |

I have another question which isn't necessarily about just this roster set.
Is it possible to change the settings so game logs and box scores are viewable after you sim a game? I know how to do it when creating a game but I don't know how to do it after I'm a couple months in. EDIT: Nevermind, I don't know how I missed something so obvious. Melo,
Would you mind sharing your modified set, with Cubby's permission? That is, if you saved a backup copy of the orginal file... |

I have it up on filefront and credited Cubby. If he has a problem with it, I'll take it down. I want to stress that what I did with the low level prospects wasn't all that scientific. I just knocked a lot of there ACT rating down rather randomly. Perhaps if this keeps prospects from taking over the league too soon a better effort than mine could be made. One thing I noticed is that a lot of prospects who had high CONTACT ratings had BABIP of ~200 and an AVOID K rating of 1. The players that I adjusted, I adjust both ratings, FWIW. here's the link: http://files.filefront.com//;8331356;;/ |

How come when I click the box to schedule the All-Star game on the date that the teams are picked it's fine but there ends up being no All-Star game on the schedule so it's never played?
And I can't generate a fictional schedule. |

A quick look at first season stats for MiLB teams shows a team BA ~.260 and a team ERA around 3.70.

Melo, I just started using your edited set and I have a question...
Did you do something with the ballpark pictures? Because there was no background when I played a Yankees Vs Rangers game. Also, is there a reason certain players have photos? I might have just not noticed it in Cubby's rosters but Jose Reyes seems to have a picture. |

Melo, after downloading your updated/modified version of the roster set. I went to see the Free Agent pool and they were all Japanese players. Did I do something wrong or is it supposed to be like that?
