I got 2007 running on 128 megs of RAM... don't ask. Anyway, it runs fine.

Just please always remember - the performance of OOTP is DIRECTLY (and probably exponentially, I dunno about that math stuff) related to how complicated your league is. If your PC has the minimum specs or below, don't expect it to be snappy when you create a baseball world with 50 leagues and 1000 teams, and try to sim for 100 years.

Vulcan, kung-fu-fighting ballplayers. . . . how about that!

Somebody probably ought to modify that webpage a little, to add the minimum specs and emphasize that those listed are the recommended ones.

If it'll work on a 500Mhz with 128Megs RAM, there probably is no realistic minimum.

Later, as the game gets more fine-tuning, I hope to add some Mac and PC examples about the performance you can expect from certain league setups, in terms of sim time and disk space requirements.

Windows 3.1 was the best, as far as I'm concerned....

I'm with you on this. I'm from the "don't fix what ain't broke" school of I.T. (also works with plumbing). I usually have to be dragged kicking and screaming to the next operating system level. I only have Windows XP because that's what was on the PC when I bought it, otherwise I'd still be ME so to speak. Vista, shmista as somebody said here recently.

Is FaceGen slowing things down much or is not really having much effect at all?
