When Will We Get The Final Patch For OOTP23?

Hey, It's me again... I'm happy that they keep updating OOTP23 with new patches... that is one of the great things about our beloved OOTP Development Team... always in pursuit of perfection.

But do you have any idea when the final patch will be done.

So Matt Arnold or Lukas Berger, do you have any idea of when the final patch will be?

I know most people are not like me... I don't convert my dynasty leagues to the new version until after the final patch... I bought the game in April, but have only used it to see the improvements in 3D animations and to get familiar with the new features.

I am anxious to use convert to OOTP23.

I have no magic 8-ball but I can tell you that I have imported several leagues over the last few months as I like to stagger as well depending upon my current mood and I haven't had a single issue with a patch negatively impacting my save.

Now I don't have crazy personal settings either so that might be a factor. I do know the biggest issue I've had which has caused me to delete and restart saves is when they make changes to the current MLB Quick Start and you only see the changes when starting a new save. A big clarifying point though is that I don't mind as I like to run through the current year dozens of times doing sims to test out different playstyles and approaches.

Thank you for the reply... I just play a simple custom-made fictional league with no minor leagues... so maybe the problems that crop up are problems with other type leagues... modern MLB or historical MLB, which I don't play.

I have been told in previous posts by knowledgeable gamers that OOTP23 is very stable... most people do not have problems with it.

I'd say by the World Series the game is usually pretty mature. That is, you can be pretty confident that it's safe to switch to. But if SB% is a big deal to you, then you probably want to run tests and tweak OOTP23's modifiers before playing out a league that you really care about and don't want to ruin.

Thanks, kq76.

Appreciate the information... my stolen bases are already a little too high... wouldn't want them to get higher.

IME stolen base success rate leaguewide didn’t get higher unless you switched in the middle of a season. What happened was that the best base stealers got a lot better at stealing, which matches real life, and some people found that they could cheese the game a bit more by sending the very best stealers on every pitch. If you don’t do the latter you’ll be fine.

I should add that they rounded out the improved stealing by the best players by making average to poor stealers a little bit worse. The game never has many guys who are consistently 0 for 1 or 2 for 5 every year; now it does.

There's always chances at future patches, if we discover new issues or have more stuff that we want to sneak in. But the hope is these last few patches we put out recently should be the end of changes for the current version, assuming no other critical issues are discovered.

Is there a game breaking bug? All I have done with 23 is redoing the FG so I haven't played a single game... even if I bought it the first day it was available on Steam
