Revenue Sharing?

Is it possible to run revenue sharing in this game? If so, how? None of the teams in the league have any cash to sign any free agents.

Actually, I think revenue sharing is in the game.

I'm sure I've seen in the news section somewhere that some teams get money thru revenue sharing. Can't remember where exactly tho.

Based on how much you have the max team cash at, all the other money goes into the "revenue sharing" pool for teams that lose money. Someone else could flesh this out better and its somewhere else on these boards.

But yeah, that's the basic gist.

Has anyone actually done any research to show that this revenue sharing pool really exists and that it gets distributed? The team cash max. works but does the money really go anywhere?

IIRC, it did back in OOTP5. I took over the Reds as a horrible team, and I think the first few years I was given revenue out of the pool

Revenue sharing is not really revenue sharing in OOTP. The vast majority of the money above the cash max just disappears. See the thread at: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...evenue+sharing
First there's a negative cash limit of -5M, then if you are at negative cash and have a below average market then you will get 5M. The money lost by the rich is not fully accounted for with gains to the poor. That's really not revenue sharing. If you want it, you're basically going to have to scrap OOTP's financials and track it yourself like we do in the KBL.

You could just do it all manually, if you really want to see it. Just have them disburse the money. It's a task, sure. But it wouldn't be that hard, especially if you used to do it in Mogul like I did. Now that was annoying.
