Question for Matt

Matt - can this please be fixed in 24 - I posted about it a couple times in the 23 bug reports but probably got over looked.

https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...8&postcount=93

All subsequent division wins are always off by 1. When they win their 2nd title, it will say 1st, when they win the 3rd, it says 2nd in the article. Shouldn't be starting at 0.

Any chance you can fix the number of WS won when you hover your cursor over the team name in the standings? It seems correct for some teams and incorrect for others.

What's an example of a team that is incorrect? The image shows the Cubs having won 3 WS.

I find it interesting that we don't count pre-WS titles. I know, it makes sense, they weren't "World Series", but the champs were the champs. The Cubs (White Stockings then) would have 6 more championships if they were counted. And the Braves would have 8 more!

You're right. I saw other teams with the number graphic and thought that was how they presented it. I didn't realize the slightly faint WS trophy graphic represents 3. Makes sense that the number graphic is for team like the Yankees that have won more than a certain number.

Thank you for clarifying!

Part of me thinks a team should leave its titles behind when they move. Personally I don’t really consider the 1912 Braves a real point of legacy for the Atlanta team (though sure it’s a part of baseball) and the 1945 Browns pennant even less a part of the Orioles, but that’s just me.

I think the cutoff is more simply about pre-1901 and in some sense pre-history than specifically pre-World Series. Like, I’m pretty sure 1903 counts and it wasn’t called the World Series yet.

MATT please make sure when trades happen that the old team is listed first NOT 2nd as in OOTP that got reversed again and to me frankly is annoying having current team be listed on top instead of below especially when looking at career
