Mac version installs itself in a container separate from rest of system

I play OOTP on both Windows machines and a Mac, but on my Mac for the first time I've noticed OOTP is installing itself in a separate container that doesn't give itself access to the rest of the system. I've never had this problem before with OOTP, assumed it might have been related to the beta but the latest version released also installed this way.

It means that you're not able to access logos and anything else on the main directories. At least one other person has reported this issue in the logos sub-forum, again not sure what's causing the game to install itself this way.

In 22 and earlier versions it was easy to assign a logo to the all time great MLB teams in my fictional League.
In 23 I can't access logos for these teams when I try to modify team logos, caps jerseys.

This is nothing we can do anything about unfortunately, it's just how the Mac OS does things. It's a pain.

This has nothing to do with the containers issue. This is simply that you are not able to access the default logos in 23 to use to make fictional unis due to licensing constraints. If you want to have logos you can apply to those teams , you'd need to download a historical logo mod.

I am not trying to make fictional unis, it's down to just trying to use the Mets old logo instead of the newer logo for that same team, the Mets. I am only trying to use the logos that already come with 23.

But I found for Windows you can open a logo file with an ".oi" extension in "Paint" and save as a ".png " file


I did one test case and pasted that png file into the 23 logos file and presto it is now available when I try to modify an historic or fictional team logo.


I have a lot of clicking ahead of me if I can't figure out a way to do this in batch.

So if we are on a Mac we basically are unable to use any of the add-ons? Bc "out of the box" version doesn't have the uniforms even close to matching, white jerseys gray pants on the road for several, if not all teams

The .oi files have all been converted to .png and are available for download here, if that is the issue. The .oi restriction is new to OOTP23.

It's pretty straightforward, you just have to make the game open the containered folders where the stuff lives and then migrate stuff over once you download it, it's an extra step, but it's not the end of the world.

I did ensure to install 24 on my windows desktop though
