As of right now, the Rams are 9 wins ahead of the seahawks. If you beat the Bears and they beat Arizona, you lose another 3 points that have to be made up elsewhere. But if you beat the Rams the following week, you'll get 11 of them back. It will depend on the results of other games. Should be close. Last edited by Ragnar; 12-26-2024 at 09:12 AM. |

![]() I would be shocked if Bergman signs with the Mariners. I would like it but I do not think most good hitters want to play in T-Mobile park. On top of that the Mariner's organization is not looked on as a place where winning players want to play. Disagree? Oh and the Mariner's have not shown a desire to spend what it will take to bring top free agents here...lately.

The fact that the seahawks can barely beat the bears in a do or die situation shows we probably don't belong in the playoffs.

As opposed to both Seattle and Rams winning this week, and Seatle beating the Rams next week. |

Mariners and Seahawks both out of the playoffs by a single game. Rough year to be a Seattle fan.

True, but then again when isn't a rough year to one a sports fan of the professional teams in the Pacific Northwest 🤷🏼*♂️.

You are forgetting about the Mariners season of that year, brutal 71-91 and the 12th straight season not in the playoffs. But yes 2013 was so great to be a Hawks fan for sure.

I don’t know, I was overall pretty okay with the Hawks this year. The offense is frustrating and took a step backwards and I really think they need to go after a new OC but I really like the strides the defense made once they cut bait with the LBs they brought in over the offseason. Ernest Jones in particular seems like he’ll be Bobby Wags’ replacement going forward.
I do have to say that I was very very disappointed in Ryan Grubb, not just in how the line underperformed but in how he never seemed to figure anything out and on top of that seemed really slow to react and adjust to opposing defenses all year. Like, yes, early on we had no Abe Lucas and Connor Williams was awful but even at mid season all that got solved more or less and we still saw the Packers in particular absolutely teeing off on Laumea on passing downs, like the idea that a good team would target the rookie 5th round pick wasn’t something we all didn’t see coming. Of course it would have been nice if the team had spent money on the interior instead of going with crappy Laken Tomlinson and guys on rookie deals but like a good OC and O line coach figures out how to account for that, especially when the other 3 positions are largely passable. Instead, the line actually performed worse even as the talent level increased, and whatever you want to say about all that, that’s on coaching. The worst of it is that Geno Smith is actually a really good QB who was on a really friendly deal that expires next year (so this offseason the team will really need to either find a replacement or re-up him on a less friendly deal). I hoped for the best with Grubb after Waldron sans Canales proved to be so bad but it was somehow even worse than last year. Now I think they need to start hunting early and hard for a veteran OC who has experience piecing together offensive lines…

I've heard different reports on if the Seahawks are going to allow Geno Smith to try and reach his contract incentives in his final game.
He can reach up to $6M in incentives for reaching certain perfomance milestones. Obviously the seahawks don't want to have to pay that money but not allowing players the chance to reach incentives can be bad for clubhouse moral. |

On passing yards. He needs under 200 yards for 2M. On passing TDs, not even close. On completion %, he's just slightly above the mark. Playing could lose it, or maintain it. On passer rating, again, not close. On 10 wins or playoff berth, all he has to do is win the last game for 2M. So yeah, he's set to get 6M if he plays. No less than 4M. |

Seahawks are a class organization for allowing Geno a chance to make his incentives.

My ideal trade deadline deal for the mariners would be Suarez and Naylor for Hancock Ford and Bautista or give up the farm for Acuna Jr.

I like the one they made for Naylor. We have seen Geno in Seattle and he is not worth the asking price especially as a rental.
